Untrustworthy and rude!!! The worst experience I had in Palermo!

Unklare Verrechnung, bei vollgetankt retourniertem Auto 30 l Benzin verrechnet. Erstes Auto mit einem nicht sichtbaren Bodenplattendefekt wohl problemlos ausgetauscht, die Kaution aber einbehalten. Transparenz und VOR_ORT_ABRECHNUNG wäre wünschenswert. Insgesamt sehr undurchsichtig und sehr süditalienisch. Irgendeine Zusatzgebühr wird immer gefunden, sodass die Preise relativ sind. Die Firma hat einen sizilianischen Standort und mitteleuropäische Europcar-Niederlassungen sind nicht zuständig. Auf dem Kulanzweg habe ich noch etwas Geld zurückgekriegt (wahrscheinlich via Urgenz einer deutschen Niederlassung, für deren Engagement ich mich bedanke). Conclusio: Europcar Sizilien ist nur mit großer Vorsicht zu buchen.

Sortez de suite de cette agence ! Ils n’ont pas voulu nous donner la voiture qu’on a réservé. Ils nous ont donné à la place une smart, nous déclassant, n’ont pas voulu ajuster le prix, ont chargé la caution sans raison !!!! Courrez loin de cette agence. Une HONTE ! HORRIBLE ! Des voleurs.

Personale cordiale, professionale e disponibile, sia al telefono (che non é poco), sia di presenza. Ho trovato comprensione, disponibilità, convenienza e professionalità (merito del Signor. Maurizio). Di sicuro mi rivolgerò a loro per ogni eventuale esigenza futura, sarò così sicuro di avere a che fare con una agenzia di autonoleggio amministrata con la testa ma gestita con sentimento.

That was not really great experience. First of all instead of Smart ForFour they give me Fiat Panda. You could say that's almost simular. But it's not. Instead of nice modern car, with good multimedia and robot gearbox I get an simple mechanic car in poorest version with simple FM tuner. In 2018. All that staff said to me "enjoy you two days of italian radio". But OK, let's say that's kinda my problem, if i want to use my stereo and my navigation. But as simple as that: they don't even clean the car after previous person. It was dirty inside and have some simple trash such as an empty bottle and some recepts inside. Needless to say, that it was pretty dusty inside.
Highly recommend to avoid this service.

Fácil hacer la devolución del coche, pero el acceso al parking carece de indicación

Unos ladrones. Después de aconsejarnos un todo riesgo carisimo con franquicia, nos dicen que vayamos solos a buscar el coche que está en un parking lejos del local de reservas. Vemos que tiene unos pequeños arañazos que no les damos importancia. Al entregar el coche en las mismas condiciones, ya que no tuvo ningún rasguño, nos cobran la franquicia más el llevarlo al taller y no sé que más. Hago reclamación y me dicen que desde europcar Palermo dicen que no atienden la reclamación. Vuelvo a reclamar que no estoy de acuerdo y ya ni caso. Total una ruina de más de 2.000 euros por 15 días. Nunca más alquilaré con Europcar. No es una empresa seria. Sabiendo las malas experiencias de los viajeros con esta agencia, tendrían que hacerlo mirar más y tomar cartas en el asunto. Por mi parte, han perdido a un cliente.

Achtung auf die Zusatzversicherrungen es wird von einer günstigen pauschalen Versicherrung gesprochen und dementsprechend so angeboten hier kommt aber noch eine zusätzliche dazu die täglich noch berechnet wird, diese ist bei all den Zahlen auf den Vertrag schnell übersehen und schon sind es je nach Mietdauer gleich ein paar hundert euro mehr, ich bedanke mich hiermit sehr herzlich an die Dame am Schalter und hoffe ihr seid vorsichtiger bevor ihr unterschreibt.

Rented car in Italy!
It was missing a front plate. In the U S, 19 states do not require a front plate. I drive to Pennsylvania, Delaware all the time. I have family in Florida. These states do not require a front plate. Normal to me. Numerous calls were made to the office where we picked the vehiche up. (they are only open 9 to 12 and 4 to 7). They told us it wasn't possible that they gave us the vehicle without a front plate! That I shouldn't be calling them days later with this. Basically brushed us off and hung up!! Also made calls to the 800 #. (varies offices), Palermo,Catania airport offices etc.. No one was willing to help us. Passed on from one person to the next, we were hung up on a few times! Spent hours of our vacation trying to resolve this!! It wasn't a fun few days! I CAN GO ON WITH MUCH MORE! Then we receive a damage bill for almost $500. Which I had to investigate to find out it's for the missing plate. Numerous calls from the states, Emails . We had to pay it!! Add insult to injury. How should we feel?

Life savers, they rented us a car on a super short notice. Friendly and solution - driven

Disastrous experience! We reserved a mid sized car. A few blocks after leaving, the car began to smoke and smell badly. It seemed as if it might even catch fire. We parked it and took a taxi back to the office. We were rudely accused of having abandoned the car. Finally, the manager went to pick up the vehicle. When he returned (after having experienced the car's condition) his tone changed (slightly) and he offered us another car --without the least apology. The result was we lost the day. When I wrote Europcar asking for an apology, I got a letter tight sounded like boilerplate. A shameless company, it would seem. By the way, not a case of cultural misunderstanding--my wife speaks fluent Italian!

Muy caro en comparación con el aeropuerto

Nous avons loué une voiture via easyJet en février dernier. Lorsque fut venu le moment de prendre possession du véhicule, la réservation a été annulée ( mais encaissée) pour finalement nous louer la même voiture beaucoup plus cher en nous promettant le remboursement de la première réservation...... 5 mois après, malgré de nombreuses relances, aucun remboursement !

Do not go here! We have always had a great experience with Europcar but this one is awful! Horrible customer service. Waited an hour in line and was refused service after we booked and had valid documents.

Parcheggio non facile da trovare.

Nous avions loué une petite citadine de type SMART ForTwo, on nous a remis une Fiat500, un équivalent donc.
Giuseppe parle et comprend le français (préfère l'anglais), très PRO, aussi bien lors de la remise et la reprise du véhicule. Tout s'est bien déroulé même si au retour, l'agence était fermée et qu'on a du patienter 10 mn (il était seul, peut etre en sous effectif...)
RAS je recommande, Europcar Palerme m'a semble très sérieuse comme agence.
Point à améliorer : sa collègue qui m'a reçu pour l'administratif était très froide, aucun sourire, pas de sens de l'accueil, elle semblait bien maitriser le français pour info .

Dropped a hire car back to palermo airport this morning. Service was excellent. Gustappe was polite, friendly and made the whole process easy! Have used Europcar before and would recommed them.

C'est un peu cher mais le service est très professionnel.
