Ho noleggiato un auto, mi sono trovato molto bene con il personale gentilissimo, ma la scelta delle auto è poca, e in caso di sinistro la franchigia è troppo alta.

Amazing service

They say come back whenever you want. I got to garage to return vehicle and no one is here. I have to sit and wait for over an hour while my baby is on cruise ship waiting for my wife to feed her. They were not worried about us and told us just wait “it’s not a problem” exact words from office manager who also said it’s our fault for not telling her when we would be back. But I was never asked when I was coming back. I was hung up on 2 times. Very unprofessional and there are cheaper companies near by with better service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

We usually cruise & rent a car in advance on one of the major car rentals' website for one day.

BUT in Livorno, I've a special suggest... it's the only Port dock where I found a car rental that offer an outstanding dock Service.....(Liberty Rentals)

They are offering a full comprhensive rate that includes pick up & return to the dock. I found them just under the boat, where I sign the agreement, then I avoid the Boat shuttle bus (5 euros pp and a huge queue), because they have a private shuttle service to their garage located just out of the dock.

Included they offer a preconfigured gps device where they set all the useful parking slot in Florence, Lucca, Siena, Pisa etc..

Among destinations there is, of course, also their office, so at the end of the day, I select Home and I come back in the same place where I got the car. There someone of them is waiting for me, bringing me back to the boat.

Livorno Port is HUGE...so hopefully you have a GPS with a European Map otherwise, I strongly suggest when you rent your car online in the US, reserve a GPS.

The car rentals don't start work on the dock till abt 800/830Am........so be sure to be off the ship early & waiting on line in front of your car rental sign & table.

Driving out of the Port is not a challenge..........and once on the highway, it's not a problem driving to Florence, it's about a 11/2 hour drive. depending on your driving skills.

Be EXTRA CAREFUL with the ZTL ZONES in all of the major cities in Italy, & do your research as to where to park so as not to get a 80 Euro fine for driving in restricted zones.

Same applies to Pisa.............

And be EXTRA CAREFUL with the speed, many speed cameras on the freeway. It's a BIG money maker for Italy & tourists pay the price driving in Italy.

Cercavo un furgone a noleggio e da loro ho trovato buoni consigli, Inizialmente sembravano più cari,ma in realtà hanno un prezzo che include tutto, senza sorprese ed alla fine è stato il miglior prezzo tra tutti quelli che avevo chiamato. Bravi

Cheap rates and friendly staff. Free pick up and return service from/to our cruise ship. The car was not new, but clean and unexceptionable. The refund of the Credit card deposit was done immediately. Absolutely recommendable ! Thank you for the great Service !
