Cette maison d' hôtes en vaut le détour. Raphaël et sa sœur sont au petit soin pour leurs clients. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux avec que des produits régionaux. Les chambres ont été rénovées avec beaucoup de goût et la suite est particulièrement très belle avec beaucoup de charme. Pour les activités c' est complet "patinoire, randonnée, ski et surtout pleins de bars sympa pour l'après ski. La maison est située à 10mn à pied du centre de Courmayeur. Il y a plusieurs parkings gratuit proche de la maison pour y laisser la voiture. Bref je vous conseille vivement cette maison d'hôtes. Merci Raphaël .

Cute and romantic is the Maison La Saxe located in the old town of Courmayeur build in the 17th century. The owner is very nice and helpful with anything you might need. |What I also like that they use in the kitchen but also in the bathroom only products fresh from the region.....all bio and no chemicals.

We had a wonderful stay at Maison La Saxe in mid february. Lots of charm and personal solutions have been used to rebuild this old Italian Stone house into a gem in Courmayeur. The owner Raphael is very service minded and made sure we very conveniently got back and forth from the ski slope as wells suggested and booked the great restaurants in town. Highly recommended!||||Our only hesitation would be if you are travelling with young children as some of the rooms are quite small. Make sure that you book one of the larger rooms in that case.

È incredibile come dietro ad una piccola porticina di legno si nasconda un rifugio tanto prezioso. Una vecchia casa, ristrutturata nel rispetto della sua storia e dei suoi materiali unici e profumati, tanta cortesia e attenzione, una vista meravigliosa sulle montagne direttamente dal letto, una colazione km0 di grande qualità, silenzio e relax assoluti. Esperienza indimenticabile.

My friend and I stayed at Maison La Saxe in January 2019 for a couple of days and loved the place. Raphael, who owns the small hotel has really made this hotel a unique experience and he, himself, was really helpful, driving us places, giving us good tips and was just very kind.
We would highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Courmayeur :)

The Maison La Saxe is a rare and valuable gem, not to be missed. In a world of homogenized chains, this hotel is the antidote; it reminds you of why we travel and why it is great to meet new people in places that are different from your own. The hotel is in a tiny village, just on the edge of Courmayeur, that feels like time travel. You park a bit below the hotel and then walk into the village, into the interconnected series of stone and wood buildings, all purpose-built to save space and shelter from the weather and share a well and a courtyard. We were greeted with a giant smile by Raphael who told us about the buildings history over the centuries and his fathers efforts to make a sensitive architectural intervention. It was my sons first day in Italy and meeting Raphael at this exquisite place was exactly what I had hoped for. Fantastic local breakfast, great architectural details and a new friend in Raphael. Next time, I want to bring my favorite friends and family and rent the whole place (6 rooms) for a few days and really get into the rhythm of the place. I cannot recommend the Maison La Saxe enough.

This place is fantastic and is a great example of something all too rare these days. This is an authentic experience; a real place with real people who made a labor of love. The hotel is in an architecturally renovated multi-centuries old building, part of a beautiful small village on the edge of Courmayeur. It is as close to time travel as I have ever been. You get a sense of how it must have been to live in this place a couple hundred years ago (but with wifi and a fantastic breakfast!!!) Raphael is a great guy - someone to connect with as a human being in a foreign country. I feel really privileged to have gotten to know this unique place and unique host. ||I can't wait to go back. Next time, I want to rent the whole place (six rooms) with my favorite family and freinds. Don't miss it!

My wife and I have just returned from a long weekend spent at Maison La Saxe, and we had a wonderful time. The accommodation, renovated by our host Raphael himself, is based in a converted and refurbished 300 year old building nestled in the small village of La Saxe, near Courmayeur. It takes about 15 mins to walk into the centre of Courmayeur from the apartment. (We used our hire car to get to the telecabine at Dolonne to get us up to the ski area).

Raphael is a superb host - he couldn't be more helpful and friendly and he really made the experience one to remember. His attention to detail is remarkable including the interior decor (making the place feel rustic yet modern), the delicious breakfasts (all locally sourced) or the bespoke toiletries provided in the rooms.

The rooms are beautifully and traditionally decorated and make amazing use of the space, making the bijou size feel very cozy and homely. We stayed in Suite No 2 and woke up to amazing views up the Aosta valley every morning which was a real treat.

I would recommend anyone looking for a beautiful experience to stay with Raphael - you will not be disappointed!

We just completed our stay at Maison La Saxe in Courmayeur and cannot say enough positive things about Raphael and his beautiful place. ||Within 10 minutes of booking the room online, Raphael (the owner and operator) sent a personalized email with information and to welcome us to the property for the upcoming stay. He was extremely helpful answering any and all questions about his home, the rooms, and the town prior to our stay. ||The B&B is located in a car-free 350 year old village about 900 meters from the center of Courmayeur. There are multiple free parking lots that are about 75-100 meters from the property. ||Upon check-in, Raphael welcomed us to his property and gave us a grand tour, detailing how he renovated the home with modern touches while maintaining the old rustic charm. We stayed in room 2, which was beautiful and in impeccable shape. The rooms are on the smaller side, but we knew that going in and were able to comfortably fit all of our ski gear in our room. There is also space to store additional ski equipment, etc if needed. ||Raphael was born and raised in Courmayeur and is an excellent guide in terms of everything from the best spots to ski on the mountain to what restaurants are a must try. He truly could not be more helpful and a more gracious host. ||The breakfasts are delicious, as he uses all locally-sourced products. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the juices, pastries, meats, yogurts, and coffees he prepared for us. ||If you’re looking for the best place to stay when visiting Courmayeur, you’ve found it. We look forward to returning one day in the future to stay with Raphael again.

Perfetta per il lungo weekend dell’Immacolata, la Maison La Saxe è un’antica casa di montagna ristrutturata conservando anche i piccoli dettagli e innestando nel restauro un gusto eccellente e sicuro per forme, materiali e colori. Anche la posizione è perfetta, appena fuori da Courmayeur - che è raggiungibile anche a piedi. Le camere - io avevo quella col camino (no, non si può accendere) - non sono grandi, ma immacolate, perfettamente riscaldate e il letto è comodissimo. Bagno minuscolo e nuovissimo, con set cortesia bio di un produttore locale. Colazione eccellente con prodotti locali, burro, mieli, marmellate, yoghurt, formaggi, salumi. Raphael è supergentile e dà ottimi consigli su dove andare, cosa fare, dove pranzare o cenare. Anche se non sciate, Aosta col suo mercatino di Natale è a un passo, e così la nuovissima funivia Skyway (fino a Punta Heilbronner, oltre 4000 metri) e l’Alta Savoia appena oltre il tunnel del Monte Bianco.

La struttura in cui abbiamo alloggiato con la mia ragazza lo scorso novembre è situata nel piccolo paesino di Courmayeur, più precisamente a La Saxe. Superata una piccola difficoltà iniziale nel trovare l'ingresso, che rimane un po' celato nelle strette viuzze del borgo, quello in cui ci siamo imbattuti è stato un vero e proprio rifugio romantico di montagna: stanze piccole ma calde, caratteristiche e accoglienti; una piccola sala per gli ospiti che, il mattino seguente, si è trasformata nella sala di una colazione a base di prodotti tipici (inutile dire, favolosa), il tutto impreziosito dalla cortesia della titolare. Sicuramente lo consigliamo alle coppie che come noi vogliano passarsi un weekend di pace e relax tra i monti delle Alpi valdostane.

Il proprietario è davvero gentile, disponibile e attento a proporre i prodotti locali! Le camere e la sala della colazione curate nei minimi dettagli! Pulitissime, molto meglio che in foto! Se ne avremo l’occasione torneremo sicuramente e consiglieremo ai nostri amici! |Complimenti!

Ho soggiornato una notte presso questa splendido B&B, un'esperienza indimenticabile.||La struttura è ubicata a La Saxe, una frazione di Courmayeur, il cui centro è facilmente raggiungibile sia a piedi che con l'auto, nelle vicinanze potrete posteggiare gratuitamente. Il B&B è collocato in una cornice suggestiva ed è stato ricavato da un'abitazione del 700, tutto è curato nei minimi dettagli, dai fazzoletti profumati vicino al letto ai prodotti per il bagno realizzati con piante e fiori tipici delle zone. La nostra era la camera standard con il camino, piccola ed accogliente, un vero gioiellino, dove rilassarsi e staccare la spina. La colazione eccellente, con una vasta scelta di prodotti locali sia dolci che salati.||Tutto ciò è merito di Raphael, il proprietario, il quale ci ha fatto trovare una graditissima sorpresa in camera, in quanto prima della partenza era stato informato del nostro anniversario.||Lo consiglio a chi come me ama i dettagli e il calore che soltanto alcuni posti riescono a trasmettere.

La Maison La Saxe mi era stato consigliato e ci ho voluto portare per un weekend amici di Brescia. Il posto è piccolo, ma bellissimo, immerso nel borgo di La Saxe. Raphael e sua sorella sono stati in grado di creare un piccolo paradiso, con camere una diversa dall'altra e aggiustate mantenendo la loro storia e senza modificare nulla di quello che erano originariamente. Fantastica la camera al secondo piano, con l'abbaino sul letto vista montagne. Gentilezza e disponibilità al top. Colazione da 10, tutta con prodotti locali KM0. Sicuramente ci ritorneremo.

Wirklich originell renoviertes altes Haus in historischem Stadtteil. Wir bewohnten eine Suite mit Dachterrasse, von der man einen traumhaften Blick über die Dächer hatte. Man sollte nicht allzu groß u/o voluminös sein für diese Suite :-) Sie bot wirklich verblüffende Kreativlösungen, z.B. bei der Dusche. Raphael ist ein sehr aufmerksamer Gastgeber, der uns viele Wandertipps gab. Wir sind sehr glücklich, diese Unterkunft gefunden zu haben.

Ho soggiornato presso questa struttura con mia moglie durante un week end di inizio settembre. L'hotel si trova in una casa del '700 ristruttura magistralmente e con buon gusto ed è dotata di tutti i comfort. Il proprietario Raphael è sempre molto gentile e disponibile ad aiutare con suggerimenti ed indicazioni. Ottima la colazione, che offre la possibilità di assaggiare tutti prodotti a km0, sia dolci che salati. Consigliato!

Una sola notte per poterci godere due giorni di relax. Camera n.2 piccolina ma fornita di tutto il necessario. particolare cura nell arredamento e nel dettaglio. accoglienza piacevole. colazione dolce e salata con prodotti locali ottimi. ||unico motivo per il quale non do 5 punti è perchè a colazione, essendo stati gli ultimi e quindi unici in sala, non ci siamo sentiti del tutto a nostro agio data la presenza un tantino invadente del proprietario che ci ha un po imbarazzati. ma per il resto nulla da dire, sicuramente avendo l'occasione, ci ritorneremo!!

La nostra camera, la numero 4, è un po' piccolina ma molto carina e decisamente in linea con la tipologia della struttura. Vecchia abitazione al centro del Borgo Ristrutturata molto bene in pietra e legno. Excellent location with a magnificent host in the most beautiful village of the Alps. Raphael is present to ensure everything about your stay is perfect. He loving restored his in which is a 300 year old building and just exquisite. He provides you with easy to follow directions to follow large segments of the Mont Blanc Trail and have great restaurant recommendations. It is hard to leave such a beautiful place.

This is a small, unique property walking distance from the center of town. Raphael is so kind and attentive. He kindly even picked us up from the cablecar station when we were too tired from hiking the TMB. The breakfast is outstanding. The hotel uses all local products. They should really charge more for the lovely visit that we enjoyed!

Positive: The B&B is lovely having been superbly renovated. The location is in a hamlet just 10 mins walk from Courmayeur town centre. Above all, the friendly, informal service from Raphael was outstanding. The breakfast is also a highlight. We visited during the Corona “crisis” and it was sad to see so many guests had cancelled due to the view that Northern Italy was deemed to be a no go area. The fact is that there have been 0 cases in the Aosta Valley. Despite the situation, Raphael was cheerful and positive and we had a wonderful holiday.. Negative: Nothing. Just sad that so many people cancelled as a consequence of miss-information about the situation in the area..

Negative: Not accessible by car but parking is not far.

Wonderful boutique hotel to experience the authenticity of Courmayeur. My wife and I spent three nights in this secret spot and felt cuddled by the owners Raphael and Megan. The hotel has been recently built and it rises from an old house dating 1700. The owners have completely restructured it by keeping the original style yet adding a modern touch with high-end furniture and refinements.
The hotel is walk distance from the centre of Courmayeur and they offer a free shuttle transfer to/from the main points of interest including of course the ski lifts. If you are a foodie, ask for the traditional dinner which includes options like raclette, bourguignon and fondue...if you are a cheese lover like us go for the raclette...they literally gave us a tray with 600 grams of 4 different selection of cheese to melt . The rooms are very clean and the hotel and the service isn’t second to any 5-stars hotel. Highly recommended!

Raphael has done an amazing job restoring the place with a modern and fresh touch without loosing the old feeling of the site. Everything from the breakfast with only local produce to his amazing hospitality with everything surrounding our trip left us enjoying our stay very much. I fully recommend this place!.

Positive: É stato tutto perfetto, ogni minimo dettaglio più che curato , abbiamo sentito la vera atmosfera natalizia e di montagna. La vista dalla nostra suite di notte é stata emozionante: avvolti dall’oscurità e dalle numerose stelle. Colazione buonissima cereali frutta marmellate locali, succhi di frutta , brioches ... wow !!!.

La struttura è stata ristrutturata di recente con molto gusto e la suite che abbiamo preso era veramente bellissima, con un panorama stupendo su tutta Courmayeur.. Negazione: Unico neo forse la vasca da bagno / doccia non proprio comodissima ma ci si faceva l'abitudine.

Очень маленькая ванная комната, маленькая душевая кабина. Парковка рядом общественная, но на ней не всегда есть места, вечером невозможно припарковаться. Люкс не подходит для высоких людей. Гостевой дом идеален для молодёжи, но не для взрослых. Нет места для хранения и сушки лыж. В номере люкс нет возможности повесить одежду, только сложить на полки. Тем не менее это уютный и гостеприимный дом. Я рекомендую молодым людям.

Abbiamo soggiornato qui per 4 notti ed é stato tutto davvero perfetto!|Struttura molto bella, camere accoglienti e pulite. Ci siamo trovati benissimo! Ció che ci ha colpito di più é stata la gentilezza e la disponibilità (e la simpatia!) dei proprietari, sempre pronti a soddisfare qualsiasi esigenza e necessità degli ospiti della struttura (anche ben al di là di ciò che potrebbe essere ritenuto 'dovuto') ma anche a darci i migliori consigli per rendere speciale la nostra vacanza e a condividere piacevoli momenti assieme. A Courmayeur la fanno da padrone hotel anni '70 mai ristrutturati internamente oppure alberghi ultra moderni. Quest! b&b, invece, è veramente qualcosa di unico, un edificio del '700 che grazie alla volontà di due giovani fratelli e a lavori 4 anni di lavori di ristrutturazione (senza buttare giù neanche un muro) è diventato un posto da favola. |Straconsigliato!|

Posto delizioso, romantico, unico nel suo genere, sembra di stare in una fiaba.|La suite con la terrazza sulla valle è semplicemente magnifica.|Per chi non ama i grand hotel ma i posti con un’atmosfera autentica e romantica.|Personale accogliente e gentilissimo, merita tutte le 5 stelle e se ci fosse anche la lode.

Zéro déception suite à notre séjour ce WE du 1er novembre 2019. Les lieux sont pleins de charme, la déco est authentique, recherchée et très cosy. Morgane, qui parle français, nous a accueilli merveilleusement, et ses petits déjeuner sont raffinés. Le centre de Courmayeur est à 10 mn. Les rues de ce petit village alpin sont si étroites qu'il vaut mieux resté garé sur le parking du bas (à 100 m de Maison LA SAXE)... mais Morgane aura préalablement pris soin de vous prévenir par mail.
Je vous conseille les thermes de Pré Saint Didier (5 mn en voiture).
Assurément je sais où retourner quand nous reviendrons à Courmayeur...

Nel borgo di La Saxe, ottimo restauro conservativo esteticamente molto gradevole. Tutto è curato nel dettaglio... profumo dell' aria marca terme di Pres saint Didier e prodotti da bagno d'erboristeria. Gentilissimi i gestori che sono prodighi di consigli... Azzeccati. Buona qualità del sonno. Perfetta la colazione con croissant da forno, salumi (da salumaio vero) e torta fatta in casa.

Positif: La découverte en rando du val ferret, la gastronomie et les bains de pre saint Didier. Et la chambre d hotes avait beaucoup de charme. La suite aurait été plus spacieuse et romantique.

This centuries-old home was a real haven for my mom and me while hiking the TMB. Raphael was lovely and wonderfully accommodating, and the room was gorgeous. La Saxe was one of my favorite areas on all of the TMB—one could really get caught up just wandering the little cobblestone alleys. The breakfast at Maison La Saxe was one of the best we had for all of our TMB experience; Raphael goes to the market each morning for fresh bread, cheeses, jams, yogurt and cream for some fantastic cappuccinos. The shower was like heaven after a day’s hike, and there’s no shortage of great dinner options nearby in Courmayeur. Thank you to Raphael for opening up your home to visitors—I wish I could’ve stayed longer!

B&b ricavato da una casa del 700. Molto caratteristico, massima pulizia, attenzione al dettaglio, prodotti da toelette a km 0 così come tutti i prodotti della colazione: buonissima e con ogni varietà. Raphael è gentilissimo e ti fa sentire sin da subito il benvenuto. Poco fuori Courmayeur che si raggiunge con una passeggiata di 10 minuti, ha una vista incantevole sul Bianco. Che dire: tutto perfetto! Noi ci torneremo senz'altro.

Loved staying in this 350 year old house. The room we stayed in had a lot of character and the hosts were very accommodating. Great location - nice walk to Courmayeur and close to grocery store and bus stops to hiking and cable cars.

Charmigt boende med fantastik service - tack Rafael! Ganska små rum men med härlig atmosfär. Det finns bra matställen i närheten och en kort promenad på ca 10min till de mer centrala delarna. Transfer till backen fixar Rafael.

We stayed at Maison La Saxe for one night as part of our 11 day Tour du Mont Blanc. This was our favourite stay of our whole hike. As others have mentioned before, the b&b is beautifully restored with the greatest attention to detail and provides local/organic toiletries and food products for breakfast. Raphael was a warm and friendly host who made us feel very welcome despite our muddy boots and no doubt not smelling our best after 4 days on the trail at that point. He gave excellent directions and recommendations for places to eat. This b&b is a short distance from the centre of Courmayeur but with directions from Raphael, it really only took 10 minutes to walk into Courmayeur. We really look forward to coming back in the future.

Words probably don't do justice do this wonderful location. Raphael's communication right from the beginning, to his warm hospitality during our stay, made us feel so comfortable. We were looking for a quiet place which was cosy and not too far away from the main town centre. This was exactly what we had hoped for. The views from the suite were breathtaking! Everything about this space is quaint and well thought out. Thank you so much for the wonderful time we had. We will be back again!

Fantastico da ritornare

Raphael has done an amazing job renovating this 300 plus year old building. The rooms have an amazing attention to detail. We stayed in the double room on the first floor with lovely shower with stone floors. When we return, we will book the room on the highest floor with its' own deck and spectacular views of Courmayer. The breakfast was fantastic with local cheeses, and fresh juice. Would highly recommend staying here!!! We were doing an 11 day trek of the tour de Mont Blanc, and Maison de Saxe was by far the best place we stayed. I felt awful coming into his amazing home so sweaty, but Raphael was great.

Positief: Alles was top en vooral het authentieke beviel ons en de kleine details die het af maakten. Onze gastvrouw was een schat, de persoonlijke touch was ook een plus. Negatief: Alles was top.

Un b&b creato in una casa del 700 completamente ristrutturata, uno stile unico, locali pulitissimi, colazione eccellente, posizione ottima e un gestore disponibile, competente e molto gentile che mette passione e personalità in un posto che sarebbe già perfetto così.. cosa volere di più?!..

Semplicemente incantevole... in un attimo ti ritrovi in un luogo incantato e si ferma il tempo. Raphael è un ottimo padrone di casa e la colazione è davvero super! Prodotti locali e di ottima qualità. Che dire, non vedo l’ora di tornarci! Ideale per viaggetti romantici.
