Had such a wonderful month here. All the teachers were sooooo lovely. My Italian improved quite dramatically, and I had heaps of fun along the way. Can’t wait to go back!

This is the best school I have ever attended. The teachers are so kind and patient (and a lot of fun!). Andrea the owner has gone abive and beyond in helping me with my study visa. I am extremely grateful for all this school has given me. I am looking forward to the next 6 months of study! 10000 stars!!!

It’s hard to think of a better place to learn Italian. The school is bang slap in the centre of beautiful Bologna. Andrea, the boss, radiates positivity and is incredibly flexible and accommodating as well as being a passionate teacher. The school seems immune to the bad habits (hours that last 50 minutes, registration fees, cancellation of classes with insufficient numbers) that many schools choose to suffer from. The teachers are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, patient (è necessario!) and fun and deliberately plucked from different parts of Italy to give the student exposure to a range of accents. My month here has been frustration free and a great experience. I shall return. Grazie a tutti.

The above was from four months ago, I have returned. I’ve been to two other schools in Italy, both had good teachers but also some irritations. None here, my second visit has been every bit as successful as the first. Very different weather (the snow has gone, 35 degrees have arrived) but the same super friendly welcome, complete dedication and wonderful enthusiasm from Andrea and his team. Grazie di nuovo.

I have followed italian classes during 1 year while studying at Bologna and it was a great experience in term of learning italian with an experienced friendly teacher as well as making you discover the secrets of Italy !

Academya Lingue was the third school I tried in Italy, and though they were all very good, this place is really special. I did a three-week intermediate course and made way more progress than expected, thanks to the truly excellent, enthusiastic teachers, the wonderful director Andrea, and the numerous caffe e cornetti at the nearby cafe. I loved my time here and would come back in a flash. Highly recommended!

They teach well

I spent 16 weeks learning here while living in Bologna and I couldn't imagine a more welcoming and friendly learning environment. Andrea has created a community of gifted and caring teachers that bring humour and playfullness to their lessons. The classes were a great mix of grammar and conversational practice that coaxed out so much more than I was able to get out of classes in Australia. I can't recommend this school highly enough, I left with new friends from all over the world and a true appreciation for the Italian language.

Academya Lingue is an outstanding school, and by far this is the best language school I have attended. The quality of instruction is excellent, and the school is very well managed. Andrea the owner is always available to assist the students. The entire staff cares about providing a quality learning experience. The teachers are very well trained, enthusiastic and have a passion for teaching. The school provides a very positive environment to learn Italian. Also, the daily after school activities were fun and educational. With the after-school activities they were an opportunity to hear and speak the language. Also, we learned about the culture and history with the activities. I would highly recommend Academya Lingue, in fact, we will be returning next year to take more classes.

As a language teacher it's difficult to find a place that meets your expectations, but I have no doubt this is the best place to learn Italian in Bologna (and probably out of it), not only because of the pedagogical and grammatical knowledge of its teachers, but also because of their spirit. They teach you the Italian language and culture with all their heart and always with a smile on their faces. It made love Bologna and I will come back again each time I have a week off.

We have attended 5 different language schools over several years and by far this is the best. Outstanding teachers and a very comprehensive easy to follow program. The school has many after class activities for students that helped to be exposed to the Italian culture and language. Andrea who is the owner of the school is hands on and he is always available to answer questions and to assist the students with their every need.

Absolutely recommended. Andrea is a fantastic person with an obvious love and passion for his job - this is reflected in his choice of staff who are animated and caring teachers.

I certainly learned a lot and on top of it all both the location and extra-curricular activities offered are top notch.

First of all; Andrea (the boss), the teachers, the classrooms and the location of the school is fantastic. You'll definitely learn a lot of Italian if you spend some time at Academya Lingue. The teachers always comes up with different ways to learn you the language, and the teachers rotate between the different classes, so that you get a lot of variation; which is great fun.

However, the best part of attending this school is that you'll be treated as family from day one. The teachers can help you with everything from understanding the Italian language, -culture, -code of conduct (which is very complicated) and whatever you might need help with. They arrange events as trips to different nearby cities and guided tours in Bologna almost every day, which means that it's impossible to get bored during your stay. You'll also meet loads of new people from all over the world, and it's absolutely noteworthy that the school is located in one of Italy's greatest cities; Bologna! If you aren't able to have fun at Academya Lingue - you won't be able to have fun anywhere.

I took a two-week course for beginners, it was great, I will definitely come back next year. Nice, relaxing atmosphere, a breathtaking building with a 200 year old statues and sculptures inside. Great experience, great teachers - all that in my favourite Bologna.

Every day at school was a pleasure. They will teach you not only the language but will also show you how to became a real Italian in Italian world and also what to do in Bologna, where to eat, what to see. So nice and helpful, I really loved every day at school! I will defenitely go back :)

I study italian language and culture from 4 years and I have seen a lot of language schools in Italy. But this place is magic and one of a kind. Every day there was a pleasure and their method really works. Highly reccomended!

I took private lessons with the school's founder, Andrea Bernardoni. He is an excellent teacher - patient, experienced and encouraging. What sets him apart is his own experience learning English. He understands exactly what it's like to learn a second language as an adult so he can anticipate many of the problems non-native speakers face as we learn Italian. The school is located in a palazzo in one of the most beautiful parts of one of Italy's most beautiful cities.
