Piatti della tradizione siciliana rivisitati in maniera creativa. Buoni i maccheroni al gelso nero ottime le mezze maniche alle alici. Buono anche lo stoccafisso in insalata. I prezzi sono decisamente cari rispetto alla media dei ristoranti in zona

Elegante e confortevole. Circondato da paesaggi mozzafiato, si presenta molto bene sotto ogni punto di vista. Il locale è pulitissimo e molto sofisticato, ma sono soprattutto i piatti curatissimi nei dettagli e la cordialità del personale a farne una vera e propria perla. Un ambiente di classe e a rivelarlo sono tutti i particolari. Trovarlo è davvero semplicissimo. Consiglio a tutti coloro che, diretti a Savoca, desiderino sedersi a tavola in piena tranquillità, per gustare la Sicilia nelle sue tradizioni più buone e nel suo rigenerarsi con tocchi culinari nuovi e di qualità.

we were there in September during a short visit to Savoca. the good taste of the wonderfull meal and warm welcome we had there still raise a smile
...do for your self a good thing...go eat there and take a foto from the chair on the roof...
its places like this that define the best of sicily

The food was ok, but I was charged $25 for a 150g slice of fish that looked like a regular sword fish and a potato croquet. How much do you charge for a kg of fish? I understand that it is a tourist destiny to pay extra, but, please, have decency and don't overcharge that impudently.

We loved dining here! The waiter was one of the friendliest in Sicily, the food delicious, the view and atmosphere of the place are lovely. From the many restaurants we visited during our 2 weeks stay here, this restaurant is in our top 3. Thank you Ristorante Gelso Nero!

Best little restaurant so far, by far...!
Stumbling into this gem last night was a delight. Awesome views, fantastic and friendly service, and to top it off excellent food where even the simplest fare is done to perfection. This might be touristy Savoca but Gelso Nero seems the genuine article.

As long a good food, but a mediocre service. Waiters are looking aside if you want anything. Perhaps a good place in a quiet time, but september is not a busy time... lets see..
Had a reservation at 20:30 and were able to order at 21:10... now waiting for the main course...
After the main course I reduced to two stars. They don‘t meet the own claims. Small size and i‘m sorry to say: mediocre
At the end - not worth the price
And nobody was interested about this...

About the answer of the host:
I never said „Yes“, I said it was ok- to be polite. The host was one moment irritated and then turned around...
I do not need to hide behind the screen and I am still in Savoca... If You want honest meening from me...

This is my first reception in my live and the answer is more annoying to me than the experience this evening...

Never write any again!

Menú con poche alternative ma dai sapori gestiti con grande maestria.
La caponata con i frutti di mare era veramente eccellente, mentre lo spada guarnito con cipolle dolcissime e pomodorini dal retro gusto di arancio erano veramente spettacolari.
Un ristorante da "appuntarsi" tra quelli da non mancare se si pensa ad una visita in questa cittadina medioevale.

Abbiamo pranzato il primo maggio. Niente da dire sulla location, il panorama e la gentilezza ma ahimè scarsa organizzazione, non si può pranzare alle 15,30 con la giustificazione che è festa.
