Clean hostel, easy to reach, recommended

Magnifique view of sunset from the top of dormitory room. I totally enjoyed staying at Ciao hostel even tho only one nite. I'd like to say thank you so much to ma trop belle Valeria for her kindness during my stay for the very 1st time.

Great fabulous service i must say was treated with kindness especially coming half way acroos the world for a interview with quater airways..needed a easy on pocket stay ...clean sheets room shower etc i was very content with my stay.

Separate single beds, clean and well maintained; makes for comfortable stay. Within walking distance from SNM railway station. I don't think reception is available through the night.

I found the receptionist rather aloof, with an indifferent attitude to the check-in and my questions. ||The hostel itself was fine; bedrooms very clean and the 4 bed dorm was single beds Rather Than Bunks as Usual For Hostels. S||Nice location close to Centre And attractions.

This was my first time in Florence and i could not ask for a better welcome!||This hostel is clean, close to the train station; the staff was great and super helpful since they gave me good advices about things to do and see in Florence!||The room was spacious, with a wardrobe big enough for all the guests. Comfy beds and cool people..perfect!||I recommend this place and i would definitely go back there!

Had great stay at this hostel. So great that I extended for a fifth night. Stayed in a 4 bed mixed dorm that was usually women! Clean room, bathrooms cleaned daily. Cooking facility could have used a few more utensils but adequate. Location was minutes from Florence train station and all the "attractions" we're with in easy walking distance. Can't wait to come back!|

This place is nice, very well located only minutes away from the train station which connects Florence with the rest of Italy so you can do some full-day or half day trips nearby and come back and be in the hostel within a few minutes.|The construction work keeps going on the streets and some main roads so be very alert on how to get there for the first time, once you figure out the way the streets are you'll find it very easy to come and go to the station and from there it's walking distance to piazza del duomo.|The rooms are ok, tv works fine, clean towels and linens are provided, your own closet and a desk with a big mirror in the room, also functioning a/c.|The bathrooms are clean and the staff friendly and welcoming, just as many european buildings you can tell it could use a little maintenance and repair work inside to make it look deluxe, however it's fully functional. My room was on the third floor and the walls outside the rooms looked stained like from humidity, also the kitchen bathroom window could be given a little maintenance, otherwise everything worked well and the kitchen/ dinning area is well equipped and clean.|Wifi a little slow and unstable later at night but it worked fine.|Massimo and Anka, great hosts, great value for the rate.||

Staff were really nice and welcoming, allowing us to store our luggage there until check in opened. The hostel rooms and both communal bathrooms are of good standard and are always clean and tidy. The fully equipped kitchen and dining area are really good, allowing us to make food at the hostel. The hostel is quite close to the station and the city centre. Would definitely stay here again!

화장실변기 물이 한번 내리면 거의 30분은 계속 물이 내려간다. 화장실이 방밖에 공용으로 위치했음에도 불구하고 방문닫아도 그 물흐르는 소리가 방안에서 엄청 잘 들림.

AVOID THIS HOSTEL AT ALL COSTS!!!! They are scammers, and are not to be trusted. Refused to refund me my money even though I never stayed there and also notified them 4 days in advance. Find another hostel. Don't waste your time with these con-artists.

A decent hostel with all the necessary facilities

Molto pulito e curato. Letti comodi. Bagni esterni alle camere ma molto curati. Wi-fi gratis e ascensore. Comodo alla stazione dei treni ma un po' lontano dal centro. Comunque buon soggiorno. Manca una zona comune per tutti gli ospiti della struttura... quindi non si socializza molto qui. Per questo motivo non do le cinque stelle.

El es hostel está muy limpio. Idealmente un tranvía pasa por acá, pero como está en reparaciones. La mejor opción es caminar y me parece un poco retirado. El hotel es tranquilo y el recepcionista muy amable y servicial. El único problema es que el wi-fi no es muy bueno

Would defiantly stay again! Hostel close to train and bus station which is ideal. Nice room (3 bed private) with air con. Shared bathroom was okay, water went everywhere from shower. Kitchen available so we could make our own dinner. We found staff nice and helpful! About 10-15min walk from town in an okay area it seemed too.

I booked on booking.com and paid.||When I arrived the hostel to check in, the guy said I didn't pay, I said yes, he then ignore me and start charging using a card details, and he failed said the card didn't work, I saw the card number and that's not my card details! So I said that's not my card, and I showed him my card and ask him to double check that I've been paid, he didn't check, and said I can't be paid, just insert my card into the card machine and key the amount and give me the termianl to enter my pin number, I have no choice, I entered the pin and he finally gave me the key and wifi password. When I get into the room, I open my online banking and found the two transactions history and I go downstair to find him, at the first, he still said it can't be. And then I said ask somebody to double check, he then using cash to refund me. I'm UK citizen, my bank will charge me two transaction fee each time I used my card abroad. I said it's your responsibility to refund me the transaction fee as well, because it's your fault who charge me twice. And he said I won't refund, the bank won't charge you transaction fee. Excuse me, it's your bank or my bank? Who knows better? And the air conditioner is out of order, in 31 degree Florence!!!!!!!!!! He said he will call his colleague to check, nobody's coming. Terrible experience. Avoid this hostel, or maybe avoid this staff.

The room I stayed in was ok (4 mixed room), nothing too fancy or too shaby. The bathroom, that was shared with other 4 or 5 rooms was usually busy and not particularly the cleanest. There was nothing to air it and after showers it got too hot and steamy. ||Not particularly close to the center, but easy to get there ok foot.

Great location about 10-15 minute walk from main train station, the place is clean, kitchen is always open unlike other places where they close the kitchen at 10.

Camere scomode, spine elettriche per ricaricare i telefoni lontane dai letti, bagni non proprio puliti e di notte l'ascensore non funziona. Sicuramente economico però.

We stayed here as we wanted reasonably priced accommodation close to the city. We weren't disappointed. We opted for a private double room which was spacious with a balcony. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen large and well equipped. Check in was easy with a delightful lady to greet us. The lift waa a bonus and totally unexpected. Extensive roadwork is happening outside at the moment (tram line being extended) which makes access a little difficult at the moment, but will only enhance the hostel's location in the future. Definitely recommend!

Rooms are spacious and separate beds instead of bunks is a good thing! Fully equipped kitchen and nice staff. Not a party hostel so that may or may not be a good thing for you.

Good place to stay if you are in Florence. The kitchen has all the essentials and a nice gas stove top.

Loved this Hostel. Good location - close to the train station. The bedrooms were comfortable and spatious and there was a very clean and useful kitchen with dining area which is great for socializing and cooking!

This place was lovely to stay at. Just as clean as expected and the front desk was super accommodating with anything we needed. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I spent 2 nights here and was happy with the hostel. The staff on the check-in were friendly and helped me with directions to attractions. The rooms were standard but I expected this and the other facilities e.g kitchen and bathroom were also as expected so cannot complain. Very good location to the train station and wasn't a long walk to the centre. One major plus is that I met so many people from different countries so if you are a solo traveler would highly recommend this place as it is very easy to meet many others. Overall a good stay, especially for solo visits.

Caro e poco pulito

Easy walk from train station with luggage. The street was under construction when I was there but still easy to navigate. Staff is friendly and ready to help. They stored my luggage free of charge for the day while I saw the city and came back to pick it up for my early evening train. Easy walk to train stations and that is a great place to start your walking city tour. Also took a bus tour which left across from the train station which is only a 15 minute walk from the Ciao Hostel. Rooms are well designed. Mine had 4 single beds and a desk area with 4 chairs. No bath/shower in room but there were two on the floor I stayed on so no problem. Kitchen and dining area was available with small balcony that looked out over the city. Very peaceful for being so close to so much activity with comfortable beds and a working lift. I highly recommend.

Per me, capodanno o no, è impensabile far pagare 280 euro più tassa una stanza polverosa con letti sfondati e un bagno comune pulito una volta al giorno... unica nota positiva è che è vicino alla stazione.

El lugar se encuentra perfectamente localizado en el centro de la ciudad. Las instalaciones estan cuidadas, limpias y el personal fue amable. ||Es super recomendable para realizar todo lo que queres en Florencia, incluso muy buen sitio para conocer gente

Mi pareja y yo nos alojamos sólo una noche, cogimos una habitación de 3 porque nos nos apetecía compartirla con nadie (el precio es bastante económico,por lo que no nos importó pagar un poco más).Las habitaciones son amplias, lumimosas y la verdad estaban muy limpias. El Hostel está situado a unos 5min de la estación principal de trenes (Santa Maria Novella) y a unos 10-15 min del centro turístico. El hombre de recepción fue muy amable y nos aconsejo como llegar, qué ver y dónde comer (nos recomendó una trattoria llamada San Jacopino que está a 5min del Hostel y se come bien y económico, tiene bastante fama así que mejor llegar un poco antes porque normalmente no hay sitio). La única pega de este Hostel por ponerle alguna es que cuando fuimos se rompió una cañería del baño y olía a desagüe, como nosotros solo nos quedamos una noche no sabemos si lo arreglarian pronto o no. El problema de los baños compartidos es que no sabes lo limpia o no que es la gente. En la planta baja dispone de cocina (que nosotros no utilizamos) y dos baños compartidos. En definitiva volvería :)

Não dei sorte, muito barulhos nos outros quartos e nada era feito a respeito. Quando chegamos o quarto não estava pronto, quanto retornamos mais tarde ainda não estava..... O banheiro principal estava com um cheiro terrível e no dia seguinte foi interditado. Durante todos os dias ninguém fez nada a respeito do banheiro também. Se não fosse o descaso.... o local é bom e o quarto também.

El hostal esta muy bien. Está a 5 minutos de la estación de Santa Maria Novela. Estuvimos 3 noches y la verdad que muy bien, las habitación limpias, amplias, cada una tenía su armario con perchas, su mesita de noche y había un escritorio para todos con sus sillas. La cocina estaba bien, apenas lo utilizamos pero tenía buena pinta. Nosotros estuvimos alojados en la planta baja y había dos baños con duchas, que estaban bien. En general muy bien, recomiendo a cualquiera que quiera calidad/precio.

Location is good near to the center and train station. Rooms are really clean. Bathroom are clean but it's not enough because there is one bathroom per floor.|Really comfy beds. Good kitchen so you can cook your own meal. Super Friendly stuff. It's like a hotel more than a hostel.

Abbiamosorggiornato.in.questo ostello per una notte. Lo abbiamo scelto per l'ottima posizione, a circa 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione dei treni, e quindi dal centro di Firenze.||L'ostello si presenta abbastanza pulito, la camera, privata per due xsone, era piccola ma ben tenuta e anche il bagno in comune era in ordine. C'era la possibilita' di usare la cucina. ||La stanza aveva la tv e un.balcone.||||Unica pecca? Purtroppo la maleducazione degli altri ospiti del piano ha rovinato la situazione: ragazzi che urlavano fino alle 2 di notte, ridendo e scherzando, e fumavzno senza problemi nelle stanze, con l'odore qui di di fumo su tutto il piano e in stanza.||||A parte cio' nulla da dire!||Lo consiglio.

O hostel é muitíssimo bem localizado.||Vizinho da estação Santa Maria Novella (a estação central de Florença). Portanto, tanto quem chega de trem como quem chega pelo aeroporto (há um ônibus direto que faz o traslado aeroporto/estação) fica bastante cômodo.||É, portanto, bastante aproximado do Duomo e de todo o centro histórico de Florença. Não mais que quinze minutos a pé (nem sequer compensa pegar um ônibus).||Há cafés, kebab e mercado próximos.||Há elevador.||O atendimento é simpático e são atenciosos. Inclusive com os lockers para as malas.||Fiquei no segundo andar. Salvo engano três quartos para dois banheiros. Sendo que, dois quartos são de três camas e o terceiro de apenas duas.||Os quartos possuem tv, ar condicionado, gaveteiro, escrivaninha para pc, tomadas e abajur.||As camas são de molas (bastante comuns na europa) portanto, estranha-se um pouco, mas são de todo confortáveis.||Os banheiros são limpos diariamente. Pode-se utilizá-los confortavelmente.||Claro, por se tratar de hostel, há sempre algum hóspede que molha todo o piso quando sai do banho, mas nada que afete o local e nada que seja atípico a todo e qualquer local compartilhado.||Há ainda uma área comum, com uma mesa larga e alguns bancos. Além disso há a cozinha com geladeira, fogão e todos os utensílios.||Não tive qualquer problema com os mantimentos na geladeira.||Tudo muito limpo e organizado.||O preço certamente compensa eventual concorrente mais barato.

Nice location within reasonable walking distance. The staff is super nice and friendly. And the room is clean and spacious! Love the bathroom and kitchen. Definitely will come back again if going to Florence.

Estuvo bien el hostal aunque los baños dejan mucho que desear

This was one of my best stays in the whole trip. From the welcoming gesture of the staff to her consideration of early check-in, from the really nice rooms to extremely clean bedsheets, from the wonderful fully equipped kitchen to the awesome washrooms! Everything was just amazing! Its 10 minutes walking from the main train station (SMN) and on the main road. I will definitely stay here whenever I visit Florence again!

Escogimos dos camas en una habitación compartida de 4 personas. La habitación tenia muebles nuevos y modernos. Todo muy limpio y ordenado. En el piso que nos tocó habían otras 3 habitaciones más, 2 baños en el piso y una cocina equipada además de un pequeño comedor. No tiene areas comunes. La ubicación no es 100% centrica pero si te gusta caminar pues no será mucho problema llegar del centro de la ciudad a este hostel. Te dan toallas.

The location was great and easy to find near to everywhere, bus station, train station and downtown. The check in process was extremely rapid. The place is well kept and renovated with a modern look. The room was nice but because it was on the street was somewhat noisy. The other facilities were nice and kept well like kitchen and bathrooms. I loved my stay there very much.

Отличный очень чистый хостел. На каждом этаже есть выход на пожарную лестницу, где можно курить. На этаже 2 душевые, очередей не было. Никаких поборов за постель и полотенца. Порадовала полностью оборудованная кухня, есть все для готовки. Это самый лучший хостел, где я был.

O hostel fica bem próximo da estação de trem e a cerca de 1km da praça Duomo, a recepção é bem prestativa, os banheiros sempre limpos, os quartos bem arrumados, tem wifi em todo o prédio e funciona tanto cmo hostel ou hotel.

Hostel simplório mas com camas muito confortáveis, só é pena nao terem o pequeno almoço incluído na estadia. É central e perto da estação de comboios. A nível de limpeza é bom. A entrada é pequena não diz o que o hotel é mas as aparências iludem! É bastante bom ;)

Hostel itself was about 8 mins from Florence SMN by walk, was easy enough to find. The person at the reception spoke fluent English and helped us finding our way around Florence. ||Room was clean and heated, but the beds creaked a bit. There was a kitchen provided but no breakfast. There were 2 toilets which were both relatively clean. ||Very nice hostel at really cheap rates.

I have to write a review because they treated me so well here. I had a very bad cough and kept others in my room awake allll night. :-/ So I requested a refund for the next evening so that I could find a single room in another hotel. They didn't need to refund me, it's against their policy, but they did. This tells me they care about the people that stay here (they didn't want me to keep my roommates awake, and neither did I). Thank you for your service, it means a lot. Grazie mille.

Ich war 4 Nächte in dem Hostel und war begeistert. Der Eingang ist etwas unscheinbar und man muss gucken, dass man das Hostel findet. Im Hauptflur, von dem die einzelnen Etagen abgehen, riecht etwas komisch, aber in den Etagen selbst ist davon nichts mehr zu merken.||||Ich war in einem geteilten 3er Zimmer. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und die Betten bequem. Es sind ebenfalls genug Steckdosen vorhanden, man sollte sich aber einen Adapter für Italien mitnehmen. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass die Schränke, auch wenn man ein eigenes Schloss hat, nicht abschließbar sind. Ich hatte jedoch immer sehr nette Mitbewohner und habe mir deshalb auch keine Sorgen gemacht.||||Die beiden Badezimmer werden jeden Morgen gereinigt, aber dadurch, dass sie von vielen Leuten benutzt werden, werden sie über den Tag dreckig. Das fand ich jedoch nicht so tragisch, da alle so nen bisschen auf Sauberkeit geachtet haben und niemand einen richtigen Saustall hinterlassen hat.||||Die Küche war sauber und ist vollständig ausgestattet. Hier müssen die Bewohner jedoch selbstständig auf Sauberkeit achten, was bei mir jedoch sehr gut geklappt hat.||||Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend und ich hatte keinerlei Probleme. Mit den anderen Bewohnern konnte man sich sehr gut unterhalten und wir haben uns gut verstanden. Man sollte allerdings Ohropax mitnehmen, da die Fenster nicht so gut isoliert sind. Der Weg zum Hauptbahnhof (10 min) und in die historische Stadt (20 min) sind sehr gut zu Fuß zu erledigen.

El hostel en general está bien, limpio y un servicio correcto. El problema son las camas baratas que tienen.||||El somier es de lo mas cutre. Unas delgadas tablas de madera sostienen el colchón. Estas tablas al ser tan delgadas, terminaban doblándose y se salían de las guías cayéndose al suelo. Al caer la primera, caían el resto y terminaba el colchón y mi cuerpo al suelo. Tuve que coger mi colchón e irme en medio del pasillo a dormir, al final no pegué ojo y termine yéndome a otro sitio. ||||Si eres un tio grande (yo mido 1,90m y peso 100KG), huye de este hostel.

Very clean room, linen and towels were changed on request, superclean kitchen, only one english TV programe, no safe but GREAT concierge service!! (valuables could be handed in at concierge, staff at reception was extremely helpfull)

The entrance had a foul smell, the bathroom was filthy and one of them had water leaking from the ceiling and was patched up with some tape, shower water smelled intensely of chlorine, bed was crooked and too short. Overall a very unpleasant experience. The location is also not the best and far away from the center. Kitchen looked ok although I didn't use it and rooms were spacious and well aired out. These are the only pros that I can mention.

I stayed for five nights. First, the location is near Train Station. You can walk to the touristic places in 20 minutes. Second, room is clean and bed is comfortable. Bathroom are two in each floor but very clean. Third, kitchen is in every floor and you don't have to wait for your turn when cooking in the evening. Last, staff are very kind, friendly and informative. However, I hope that they will install safety locker. I don't have any complaint except that.

The hostel had no lockers, so we were a little worried about our bags. Also, another person was transferred from floor one (we were on floor 3) because someone came into their room at night, tried to steal a phone and a variety of items from the room, and were then yelled at when this traveller woke up and noticed what they were doing. We did NOT feel safe after that, and will not be coming back to this hostel. They did have towels, a kitchen, but no breakfast.

스텝들이 영어에 굉장히 능숙하고 친절하지만 처음 위치를 찾기 쉽지 않고, 방도 사진과 비교하여 좀 달라서 실망했었습니다. 가격은 나쁘지 않은 것 같습니다.

I slept in a four bed dorm on a floor with 4 rooms. We shared 2 really nice bathrooms which were really clean and the rainforest shower was amazing! The kitchen has many cooking tools and two fridges give enough space. In the night it was really quiet and the AC did a good job!||The location of the hostel is great as it is really close to the main trainstation, only 5 minutes walking to the old citycentre and there are a few cafes and shops around. The prizes are a little higher but for me that was fine as I all in all I had a really nice stay!

O quarto em si é grande e espaçoso e as camas confortáveis, a casa de banho é um pouco pequena e só existem duas no piso de baixo para três quartos. Num dos dias choveu imenso e o quarto onde ficamos inundou. Está a cerca de dez minutos a pé da estação principal de comboios de Florença e a cerca de vinte do centro.

Fui sólo y la verdad que la pase bien. Aún con mi corta estadía, pude aprovechar el lugar. 2 baños completos x piso. Cocina cómoda. 2 heladeras. Camas individuales con aire y tv. El lugar impecable y limpio. No hay gente en la recepción toda la noche y por eso te dan la llave del hostel para que te manejes.|No queda en el centro pero a pie en 10 minutos llegas. Queda cerca de la estación de trenes a pocas cuadras.|Lo recomendaría y volvería a ir.

This hostel was close to the train station and the lady at the front was nice. It was a nice place to take a shower and sleep and continue our trip in the morning. A little coffee shop right down the street was a nice place to grab something to eat. Me and my friend would stay here again if we made our way back to Florence.

Generally, this place is quite good. It is very near to the train station. The room and beds are very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is also very good. You can cook whatever you want. There is also a TV in the room.

Ciao hostel is an excellent place to stay in florence. It is located at 10 minutes walking distance from railway station. The room was very big, clean, and comfortable, with a good working air condition. The city centre and food stuff is easily accessible.
