Immerso nel verde, nella tranquillità più assoluta ( peccato solo x i cacciatori praticamente sotto la finestra )... e a 3 minuti da San Gimignano, quindi davvero comodo! Le stanze sono appartamenti più o meno grandi, tutti dotati di angolo cottura attrezzato. si ha la possibilità di richiedere la colazione con una piccola maggiorazione. Sono in vendita i loro prodotti: olio, vino. ||Non abbiamo avuto il piacere di conoscere Barbara, la proprietaria, che si è mostrata comunque premurosa tramite uno scambio di messaggi e mail. Siamo tuttavia stati coccolati dalla bravissima Monica, che ci ha cucinato anche dei piatti squisiti e si è resa disponibile in ogni nostra richiesta. Peccato non aver potuto usufruire della piscina: torneremo con amici per far conoscere i vostri bellissimi posti e fare un tuffo in compagnia!

La Toscana al suo massimo splendore. Nella tranquillità dei colli questa oasi di pace per ricaricarsi di natura e silenzio lontani dalla città. Appartamenti splendidi, a due passi dalla meravigliosa San Gimignano. Colazione fatta in casa da Monica, sublime.

We zijn een week in deze agriturismo geweest met onze zoon van 1 jaar. Heerlijk appartement, prachtige ligging, prima zwembad en de eigenaresse is zo voor je in de weer. Heerlijk gegeten. Een aanrader!

Barbara is a passionate and helpful hostess. This is at true family resort. The winery is an a beautiful setting and has excellent home made food. |The Vernaccia wine is excellent. Worth a visit and a stay.

Siamo tornati per la seconda volta in questo posto bellissimo e accogliente, in un luogo incantevole, ottimo per rilassare il fisico e lo spirito! L'ospitalità e la simpatia di Barbara completano l'opera, grazie di tutto.

Nous venons de passer 2 semaines à Borgo Tollena et fort probablement que nous y retournerons l'an prochain. Nous avons séjourné dans l'appartement Rosa Di Sera qui est très confortable.||Merci à Barbara et Monica pour leur excellent accueil et à leur attention pour le bon déroulement du séjour.||Borgo Tollena se trouve à :|| ~ 2.5 km du centre de San Gimignano, ce qui permet de s'y rendre à pied,|| A peu près à mi distance de Florence et de Sienne,|| et est proche des différents villages à visiter du Chianti.

We hebben 1 week verbleven op dit 'resort'. We hebben het verblijf als zeer onpersoonlijk ervaren.||Voor aankomst hadden we per email gevraagd of we eerder mochten arriveren. Dit was mogelijk. Op het moment dat we aankwamen was er niemand aanwezig (behalve andere gasten). Na gebeld te hebben werden we erop gewezen dat de schoonmaakster (die alleen Italiaans sprak) ergens rondliep en dat zij ons binnen kon laten in ons appartement. Na wat rondkijken troffen wij de schoonmaakster aan die ons binnenliet. Daarna hebben wij geen enkele rondleiding/uitleg gekregen. In de loop van de middag kwam de eigenaresse bij het resort, maar zij nam niet de moeite om naar ons toe te komen en ons welkom te heten. ||Op de (schaarse) momenten dat er iemand aanwezig was waren ze vooral bezig en meer dan gedag zeggen werd er niet gezegd. Er is geen enkele keer gevraagd of alles naar wens is. Het overige contact wat er was werd gedaan via whats app met de eigenaresse. |Zo ook het feit dat de betaalsom 2x van de creditcard was afgeschreven (wat natuurlijk heel slordig is). Dit werd via whats app medegedeeld. Op de momenten dat de eigenaresse aanwezig was, nam zij geen moeite om persoonlijk haar excuses aan te bieden. Hoe moeilijk kan het zijn om een flesje wijn te geven voor het ongemak, aangezien je een wijnresort bent.|De dag voor vertrek hebben wij zelf moeten informeren hoe het moet met uitchecken. Wij hebben dit met een werkneemster verder geregeld, van de eigenaresse hebben wij niks meer gehoord of gezien. Wij hebben uiteindelijk bij vertrek de sleutel in de brievenbus gegooid.||Bij het appartement zat geen parasol, terwijl dit bij alle anderen appartementen wel het geval was. Bij navraag kregen we een te kleine en ondeugdelijke parasol die bij de eerste windvlaag de lucht in ging. Bij de Toscaanse zon is een parasol wel een vereiste (of een andere schaduw mogelijkheid).||Bij de benaming Wine Resort hadden wij een andere voorstelling. Het is een gewone agriturismo die (zoals vele) tussen de wijnvelden ligt. Bij de naam zou je toch minimaal een flesje wijn als welkom verwachten. Verder wordt er in de week dat wij verbleven niks schoongemaakt, geen beddengoed verwisseld en moet je zelf voor je toiletpapier en vuilniszakken zorgen. ||De locatie is heel goed, lekker dicht bij San Gimignano, met uitzicht op wijnvelden. Het zwembad is ook prima. Wij hebben 3x meegegeten. Dit was lekker en een fijne mogelijkheid. ||Vooral het hele onpersoonlijke en de commerciële insteek viel ons heel erg tegen. |

Wir waren mit der ganzen Familie und Hund zwei Wochen in der Unterkunft und sind begeistert! Sehr gepflegte Anlage mit schönem Pool und toller Aussicht ins Umland. Die Wohnungen sind sauber und schön eingerichtet, insbesondere die große Anzahl an Badezimmern (Wohnung für max. 8 Personen und 4 Bäder) ist sehr praktisch. Die Gastgeberin Barbara war täglich für uns ansprechbar und hat uns bei allen Fragen super unterstützt. Insbesondere das wöchentlich direkt in der Anlage angebotene Abendessen - ein festes Menü mit Weinbegleitung - war super lecker und ist sehr empfehlenswert. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und entspannend, ein Ausflug nach San Gimignano vor allem in den Abendstunden (ohne Touristenmassen) sehr schön.

Cosa dire, tutto perfetto: immerso nella natura e comodo per le gite nei dintorni. Agriturismo con piscina, mantenuto egregiamente. Eravamo 6 famiglie per oltre 20 persone e siamo stati divinamente. E poi il barbecue al tramonto, un prodigio! Molto gentile il personale e ottima la colazione!

Grazie Barbara e Monica per l'accoglienza e l'ospitalità. Luogo incantevole e riservato con piscina con vista panoramica. Appartamenti ampi, con ogni confort, arredati con gusto, bagno privato per ogni stanza con vasca idromassaggio. Vista panoramica sulle colline di San Gimignano, collocato in posizione tranquilla e facile da raggiungere.||Colazione abbondante e ottima.||siamo stati purtroppo solo 3 giorni.||Speriamo di poterci tornare il prima possibile

Sono stato a Borgo Tollena in un periodo ancora invernale, piscina ovviamente chiusa, ma la magia del posto è unica. Una distesa di colori della natura molto bella, struttura molto bella, appartamento oltre che esteticamente molto curato e molto pulito, completo di tutti gli agi. Risveglio che grazie al tempo sereno ha regalato un'alba rigenerante e la colazione aveva tutti i crismi del Fatto In Casa, ovviamente da leccarsi i baffi. Arrivare a San Gemignano è molto rapido e nel bellissimo borgo trovi anche il bellissimo, e fornitissimo shopping, di Borgo Tollena. Ottimi vini e ottimi prodotti alimentare. Padrona di casa Barbara molto gentile e disponibile a rispondere ad ogni nostra curiosità. Esperienza da ripetere e sicuramente in periodi più caldi. Lo stress lavorativo lo dimentichi

Tra le tante opportunità offerte nella zona Borgo Tollena ha tanti vantaggi che lo rendono un posto unico per chi vuole passare qualche giorno in una delle zone magiche della Toscana.|Intanto la sua immediata vicinanza con San Gimignano, di cui si scorgono le sue inconfondibili torri dalla dimora dell'800 completamente ristrutturata che ospita gli alloggi offerti agli ospiti. Il lavoro di recupero architettonico dell'edificio centrale è impreziosito da una zona relax con piscina a sfioro che si affaccia sulle verdi colline.|L'abbinamento con l'azienda vitivinicola è la modernissima cantina di vinificazione completano un offerta unica che si estende per 66 ettari con produzione anche di un olio eccezionale. |Gentilezza, disponibilità e la grande simpatia tipica toscana completano un offerta che rende questo angolo del mondo un luogo magico.

Splendido agriturismo situato in una zona magnifica vicino a San Gimignano. Abbiamo avuto il piacere di soggiornare per 2 notti con amici nell'appartamento La Stellata e non possiamo che tessere le lodi della struttura così come della gentilezza di Barbara e Monica che ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. Complimenti anche alla qualità dei vini e dell'olio prodotti dall'azienda agricola Tollena.

Outstanding in every way imaginable. Wine (all made on site) is magical. Views are magical. Swimming pool on a hot Italian August afternoon is magical. Barbara, Monica, Matea and all the other staff at Tollena are magical. If in Tuscany, a stay at Tollena is a must!||This company wears many hats... They own and operate an agriturismo (think bed and breakfast on a farm) with a beautiful villa, comprised of 5 or 6 spacious apartments. Each room has everything you need for a long stay -- full kitchen, utensils/dishes, sitting room, linens, etc. They are only about 5-10 minutes drive from San Gimignano; perfect to do the tourist thing in the morning before the crowds get crazy and then retreat to the pool all afternoon. Once a week, they host a dinner for their guests. 35-euro gets you an amazing 4-course, homemade dinner and multiple glasses of their fabulous wines. Hope you're lucky enough to be here the night they host the dinner and opt in! Trust me. The food is amazing and dining al fresco in the Tuscan hillside is a dream. ||As if the agriturismo experience wasn't enough, Tollena also produces their own wine, olive oil and several other typical Tuscan products (lardo, pate, etc.). You can purchase any of their products at the hotel itself or from their cool shop in the city of San Gimignano. I have a suitcase full of stuff that I hope doesn't a) put my bag over the weight limit and b) all makes it home! I'm looking at you baggage handlers. Don't even think about swiping my olive oil!! ||Tollena has a special place in my heart. Even as I'm checking out today, I'm already thinking about how and when I can get back for another stay!

Mooi appartement Lunario met in iedere kamer airco. Prachtig uitzicht en rustig gelegen. Lekkere olijfolie en dito wijnen...Prachtig zwembad... Thx Barbara for the winetasting. Next time we will be present at the dinnertable

Door een probleem met het boekingsprogramma kregen we uiteindelijk het mooiste en grootste apartement toegewezen voor de prijs van het kleinste apartement. Dat was heel mooi geregeld door Barbara. Schitterend uitzicht, prachtige omgeving. 7 jaar geleden zijn we hier ook geweest, de omgeving is nog net zo mooi. Toch zie je hier en daar wat achterstallig onderhoud : o.a. de zonnebedden bij het zwembad zijn aan vervanging toe, en er zijn er te weinig op het moment dat wij er waren. Ook de airconditioning liet het even afweten, maar daar hadden wij gelukkig wat minder last van. Het ontbijt was prima, de verzorging door Monica was perfect!!

This was our second visit to stay at the Borgo Tollena Wine Resort which is located about 1 kilometre outside the beautiful medieval town of San Gimignano in Tuscany. As always Barbara the property owner was as welcoming as ever and did all she could to make our stay enjoyable. On one evening each week Barbara and her staff cook a beautiful meal giving us the opportunity to sample local dishes and products of the Tollena estate including many beautiful wines. The property itself offers 7 self contained apartments all of differing sizes, all are beautifully appointed and the building itself is very impressive. San Gimignano is only a short drive away and has all the restaurants, pavement bars, shops and historic atmosphere one could ask for, it is stunningly beautiful. Having found this wonderful retreat we will be returning often !

Il paradiso sulla terra..posto incantevole,a due passi dal centro,tutto nuovo,bello pulito e perfetto..ottimo..sicuramente ci ritornerò..cucina con lavastoviglie,Wi-Fi,sky, ogni stanza con annesso bagno..

Posto davvero incantevole vicinissimo ad uno dei borghi più belli d'Italia, San Gimignano. Appartamenti molto confortevoli ed arredati con gusto dalla stessa proprietaria che è accogliente, cordialissima e simpaticissima.|Si beve inoltre dell'ottimo vino lì prodotto. Da tornarci sicuramente!|

Siamo stati benissimo in questo agriturismo a 2 passi da San Gimignano,ringrazio ancora la Signora Barbara per la gentilezza e l'ospitalità.Facile da raggiungere. La vera Toscana è questa.Rapporto qualità/prezzo vantaggioso...torneremo.

Great view and location, cozy apartment in old style

Siamo stati in questa struttura a pasqua, io mia moglie con i nostri quattro figli, non appena si arriva a Borgo Tollena e si scende dall'auto subito sì è avvolti dall'incatevole paesaggio che circonda la struttura costituita da una casale sapientemente ristrutturato nel quale sono stati ricavati gli appartamenti. L'area esterna è fornita di una grande piscina e nel giardino ci sono tavolini, poltrone e giochi per bambini. Noi abbiamo soggiornato nell'appartamento "rosa di sera", molto comodo per noi che siamo in 6, molto ben arredato e rifinito, i miei figli hanno gradito molto la vasca ad idromassaggio presente i uno dei due bagni. Ben fornita di tutto il necessario anche la zona giorno con angolo cottura. Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti dalla propritaria Barbara, persona solare e disponibile. i vini prodotti sono ottimi , noi li abbiamo potuti degustare durante una cena che abbiamo consumato presso l'agriturismo proprio per l'occasione, il mio preferito è "Donna Alessandra".

Skønne lejligheder (vi fik lov at se dem alle, undtaget en enkelt, der var optaget af andre gæster) og super værtinde. Alle billeder og postkort kan ikke hamle op med virkeligheden. Luksus at vi havde næsten det hele for os selv. San Gimigano ligger IKKE i gå afstand, som vi ellers fik indtryk af via det danske bureau, men det er absolut eneste anke. Dejlig middag som vores værtinde og en lokal mama serverede med vingårdens egen vin og til meget rimelige priser. Vil gerne tilbage ved lejlighed.

Ho passato quattro giorni veramente sereni tra il verde delle colline toscane che abbracciano San Gimignano. Siamo stati ospitati in un appartamento veramente grazioso e spazioso dotato di ogni comfort. Tutto era perfettamente pulito ed in ordine, la genuina cordialità tosco-emiliana ci ha messo subito a nostro agio. Siamo partiti a malincuore con la promessa di tornarci al più presto

Sehr schöne ruhige top Lage mit typisch toskanischem Flair. Die Unterkunft hat uns so ganz gut gefallen, besonders das Bad zu jedem Schlafzimmer. Was wir leider zu bemängeln haben , ist die Küchenausstattung. In Deutschland ist man es gewohnt, eine Kaffeemaschine usw.zu haben. Dort aber weit gefehlt, keine Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Wasserkocher oder Backofen. Die Herdplatten waren leider auch nicht die schlechtesten, sodass der Frühstückskaffee leider auf sich warten ließ. Auch war es bei uns sehr kalt und Heizung gibt es keine. Haben uns dann eine elektrische Heizung erbettelt. Die Rezeption war eigentlich so gut wie nie besetzt. |Schade

Second time for us in Borgo Tollena. We were there on Sept 2013 and we loved it so much we had to go back. Excellent as always and better than before. The place continues to be well kept and managed by Barbara, the owner. This time we foiund the landscaping to be much better than before, and the A/C in our unit working much better than before. We stayed again in Signorina Vittoria, and the unit is in excellent conditions. Wifi now is available inside the units, and works great. This time we did the dinner with Barbara one night and she does a great job with the food and the wines. I wiil repeat it, Borgo Tollena has to be the best agriturismo in the San Gimignano area. And the store in town is the best store in San Gimignano. If you want a taste of Tuscan living, Borgo Tollena is the place. Congratulations Barbara for the great job you are doing. Keep it on.

My husband and I spent almost 2 months at this wonderful property in April and May this year. We so thoroughly enjoyed out time there -- Barbara and Mimosa were attentive and wonderful and we miss them! Location was great for day trips and San Gimignano is outstanding for shopping and eating. Relaxing in the villa and at the pool between sight-seeing couldn't have been better. All our friends and relatives loved it. And we met some wonderful new friends. We are looking at our schedule to find a time to go back again in 2016!

Deze Agriturismo maakte alles waar wat het beloofde. ||Barbara en haar medewerkers zijn gedreven, vriendelijk en professioneel maar vooral hartelijk en servicegericht. ||Zeer schone vertrekken met prachtig uitzicht, comfortabele bedden en goed werkende airconditioning. ||De flexibiliteit aangaande te boeken ontbijtjes was perfect.||Tip: neem vooral deel aan het wekelijks georganiseerde diner waarbij u de wijnen van Tollena kunt leren kennen terwijl u geniet van heerlijk eten!

Ligger skønt! Kælet for detaljerne. Fin pool og hyggeligt som man lærer naboerne at kende. Kun 7 lejligheder. Skøn lejlighed holdt i gammel stil men med moderne bekvemmeligheder. Den skønneste udsigt. God vin. Great hospitality! Og byen San Gimignano er en flot og velholdt by. Vi kom helt ned i gear!

ottima location sotto le torri di san geminiano, appartamenti estremamenti spaziosi (ogni camera con bagno personale) arredati con gusto e corredati di tutti gli accessori, Molto bella la piscina e tutto il giardino intorno, nnchè gli spazi esterni di ogni appartamento. tutto veramente molto bello.

It had been a dream of my wife and I to travel to Tuscany. We were finally able to accomplish this with a group of wonderful friends. Some of whom had previous experience at the Borgo Tollena. Their praise of the villa was in no way over stated. Everything was simply perfect. The rooms were large and airy. They hinted at traditional Tuscan styles but were modern and comfortable. Everything worked properly. But best of all was the views. Cannot begin to describe how beautiful the views were. The landscape was like living in a postcard. And somehow, Barbara, the proprietor, managed to make the weather perfect for us also. The villa was ideally located for day trips to the most enchanting destinations in Tuscany. Or one could just take a nice long walk around the countryside. Borgo Tollena is situated very close to San Gimignano which is a gem in it's own right. I really have to praise Barbara and her assistants in making our stay great. We have already decided that we would like to return someday. You can't go wrong staying here.

We're 5 weeks into our 7 week stay in this beautiful resort! Everything has been an outstanding experience for us -- Barbara is extremely friendly and knowledgeable as is her staff. San Gimignano is our favorite hill town. The location has been perfect for day trips to key Tuscany sites and the food and wine is excellent. After a full day of sight-seeing it is a pleasure to relax by the pool and view the gorgeous landscape. All the friends and family that have visited have thoroughly enjoyed their time here. We will be back another time!!

Nestled in the beautiful hills outside of San Gimignano, Borgo Tollena is a traveller's||haven. Florence, Pisa, Sienna, Cinque Terre and many other wonderful sites are||accessible as day trips. But then, just relaxing and enjoying this serene, very||comfortable Villa is certainly an option. We hope to see Barbara and Borgo Tollena||again.

Our second time at Borgo Tollena and it was perfect. The views every direction are just like a postcard. Barbara is a great hostess and is helpful with any questions or needs you have. Accommodations are comfortable and clean. The wine is excellent and can never get enough Vernaccia! Thanks again Barbara, you make coming home a little more difficult each time.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Borgo Tollena since 2012. This time we brought 28 people total and filled the entire Villa. Everyone loved the week. As always the apartments were VERY clean! The owner Barbara is always the most gracious host! We will continue to bring our customers, family and friends to the Borgo Tollena! Love, Love, Love this place!. Oh and the wine is excellent! Thanks to Barbara and her staff for making our vacation smooth and so enjoyable!

WIr hatten die Unterkunft aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen im Internet gebucht und waren insgesamt sehr enttäuscht. Die Aussenanlagen und die Lage sind wunderschön und die Wohneinheiten auch eigentlich schön eingerichtet, aber leider nicht sauber. Vor allem in den Klimaanlagen hing millimeterdick der Dreck und wurde beim Einschalten durch die Luft gepustet Wir haben stundenlang daran herumgeschrubbt, um sie halbwegs sauber zu bekommen. Die Betten und Matratzen waren eine Katastrophe, wenn sich der eine umdreht schaukelt das Bett so stark, dass der Nebenmann wach ist. Stauraum könnte ebenfalls deutlich mehr in den Schränken sein... Auf dem Grundstück befand sich eine streunende Katze, die bei jeder Gelegeheit in die unteren Wohnungen huschte (auch durch geöffnete Fenster). Eine Möglichkeit zu Lüften hatte man so kaum. Eine Möglichkeit zum Frühstück gab es entgegen vorheriger Beschreibungen auch nicht und die Rezeption war selten besetzt.||Die Aussenanlagen sind wirklich toll und inklusive Pool auch gepflegt. Für den doch eher hohen Preis hatten wir uns aber was die Wohnungen angeht mehr erhofft.

Nous séjournons chaque été chez Barbara depuis l'ouverture et avec le même plaisir . Accueil chaleureux , grand confort et une des plus belles vues de Toscane . C'est un endroit idéal pour rayonner de Sienne à Florence , et pour visiter le chianti..

Il Borgo è splendido. La gestione dell'agriturismo da parte di Barbara è perfetto.||Comodissimo per raggiungere San Gimignano, ma non troppo vicino per poter godere il Borgo in perfetta tranquillità. L'agriturismo sorge su di una collina con vista a 360° sui colli senesi.||Consigliato sia a famiglie che a coppie.

Wij zaten in appartement Lunario met 2 volwassenen en een peuter. Appartement is keurig verzorgd en ruim. Het appartement is aan de achterkant gelegen, waardoor nauwelijks contact met andere bewoners / terrassen. Dat vonden wij als gezin met een jong kindje jammer, het was erg rustig. Maar voor rustzoekers dus ideaal. Terras gedurende de dag deels schaduw, deels zon. 's Avonds zon. Wij waren er eind juni en de bezetting van de appartementen was gemengd qua nationaliteit (Italiaans, Duits, Nederlands, Oostenrijks). Er was tijdens ons verblijf weinig contact met medebewoners (gemengd gezinnen en oudere stellen). De gastvrouw Barbara is zeer gastvrij, behulpzaam en aardig. Omdat zij niet op het terrein leeft, voelt het wel iets zakelijker dan de Agriturismo's in handen van familie die op het terrein wonen. Het zwembad is heerlijk en vanwege het kinderbadje ook zeer geschikt voor kleine kinderen. Samenvattend, op de locatie, appartement en kwaliteit niets aan te merken. Zeer goed en op slechts 5 autominuten van San Gimignano. Voor gezinnen die meer levendigheid en zo nu en dan sociale contacten zoeken echter niet de ideale locatie.

We stayed for 5 nights at Borgo Tollena. The location was perfect. 5 minutes driving to San Gemigniano. Setting was a dream. Great place for families with children. Safe, immmaculate and all around perfect. Barbara was very sweet and recommendations were great. We will surely stay again.

No Central heating or air cons as they get switched off 1st April. It was Cold! No toaster, oven or electric kettle. Ants everywhere, even on the bed. Beautiful setting. Needs some attention from management as maintenance is poor. Could be an idyllic place affording a momentous holiday ...

We have just returned from a week's stay at Borgo Tollena. We stayed in Signorina Vittoria (No 3), which is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property. The living room/kitchen/dining area is fairly basic, but the upstairs bedrooms both with ensuite|| shower-rooms were immaculate. There is a small garden area with table/chairs which was perfect for breakfast and lunchtimes. It was still too cool for us to eat dinner outside. ||||The property itself is a beautifully renovated farmhouse, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and is wonderfully peaceful, apart from the occasional tractor doing what it needs to do. The views were simply stunning.||||There was a small swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers and a small play area for children, and plenty of land around the vineyards for walking, if feeling energetic, as some of the slopes were steep!||||Barbara, the owner, was warm and friendly, and cooked us a 4 course meal, using local ingredients one evening, which was accompanied by the wine produced from the vineyard, all of which was lovely.||||The town of San Gimignano was a 5 minute drive away, and had the best shops and restaurants from any of the surrounding towns.||||We will definitely be returning, Barbara, thank you for everything.

Ogni volta un soggiorno incantevole. Posto incredibile e la proprietaria, Barbara, accogliente e gentilissima!! Posizione splendida, a pochi passi dal centro di San Gimignano.. un paradiso al quale abbandonarsi... Spero di tornarci presto!

We stayed in the la Stellata apartment - 4 adults and 1 baby (17months). If you want a typical Tuscan experience - this is it. It has stunning views all around and you can even see the towers of San Gimignano. The town is less than 5 mins away by car. We arrived just before the beginning of the busy summer season so it was peaceful and you could see they were still getting everything ready - but lawns were mowed, chairs and tables cleaned and polished very quickly after we arrived so we could sit outside and soak it all in. The pool wasn't open yet but I think it would have been too cold for a dip! Barbara and Mimosa were lovely and helpful. The heaters were off as it was April but they were aware of the baby and offered a little heater for her room. Anything we asked, they did their best to accommodate. And as an added bonus is a swing set and bouncy chicken that our daughter loved. The apartment itself was user friendly. We cooked most meals we were there and the kitchen was relatively well stocked. Obviously you need to get all your basic ingredients but the coop is just past San Gimignano - get good directions as it's a little tricky. It was clean and comfortable and large - no issues with 4 and 1/2 people. The showers were a bit of a tight squeeze but each bedroom had its own bathroom.||Overall, we would definitely stay again. This agriturismo is a perfect option for these parts and although you may not get the 24hr service of a hotel there is the personal touches and the owners that are easily approachable that you don't always get at a hotel.

Beautiful place. I dare to say it is the best agriturismo in the San Gimignano area. If you want to experience the Tuscany lifestyle this is the place. We stayed, four adults, in the Signorina Vittoria unit for a week. A very nice and quiet unit with a wonderful view. This unit is in the opposite side of the pool and this makes it very quiet. It is the only one with an beautiful outside terrace. The owner, Barbara, is very helpful in everything you might need, but you need to understand that this is not a hotel. If you are looking for the amenities of a standard hotel, this is not the place. You have to go to Tollena for what it is, a great experience of living in Tuscany.

Uns hat unser Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen, da das Borgo Tollena Wine Resort sehr ruhig gelegen ist, einen wunderbaren Rundumblick bietet. Die Wohnungen sind alle sehr geräumig und gut eingerichtet. Es war alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Wir haben die Möglichkeit genutzt, unser Frühstück nicht selbst zu machen - Preis-Leistung hierfür war gut. Gegessen haben wir in der Umgebung, ob SanGimignano oder andere Restaurants auf dem Land. Wir würden wiederkommen. Zu Fuß kann man nicht nach San Gimignano laufen - die Entfernung ist zu groß (ca 3 km) und ein ständiges Rauf und Runter.

The views from the villa are amazing, you are surrounded by wine vineyards and olive trees. ||Beutiful pool area, evry appartment has a garden table which is ideal to eat and admire the surrounding enviroment. Exceptional good service, the owner gave us the most warm welcome and she is a very nice person. From this location we were able to discover all the cities around San Gimigiano like Siena, Firenze, Pisa, Certaldo, Volterra...||Once a week the owner organises a dinner in the property next to the pool area, it is absolutely a dinner to do, calm and romantic, it is a fine dinning that includes the tasting of the best wines of the property. ||We stayed 1 week with our little baby, we had a small appartment which had only a small shower cabin and I was not very easy to bath our baby.||There are some improvements that could be done in the kitchen which the equipment needs a little refreshment, including good knives and a better cooking ware.||The bed was not bad but it could be better.||We will definitely come back, the moment you come in you fall in love with the place.

We stayed for a week in apartment number 8. 4 BD, 4 Baths. Needless to say absolutely perfect for our 2 families travelling together with young children. The scenic and views is breathtaking, Barbara is service minded, and everything is very clean, up to date and well thought through. Beautiful is the most correct word for it all; the view(s), the swimming pool, the furnitures, the building, the feeling!||Not to familiar with wines, but I especially liked the two reserva ones, named after Barbaras two daughhters. The other ones had nothing special to it. I recommend attending to the dinner and wine tasting.||I recommend this place to thoose looking to be self catered, having a car and in need of beautiful quiet days in lovely Tuscany (close to San Gimignano). Have your kids go treasure hunting in the olive groves or grape bushes, and cool of in the pool. Live the life, enjoy it!||I would point my finger at, that beeing a self catering place, and beeing a big apartment for a lot of people, it needs an upgraded kitchen. The diswasher was way to small, we ran it almost twice a day ( 5 young children...), the knives could barely even cut your skin, and all the pots would bend in the bottom when warming up. This does not meet the standards set by Tollena themselves, comparing the kitchen to the other rooms and facilities in general.||Also, the internet wifi is pretty poor, but who cares? Throw away your gadgets, keep your eyes on the views and enjoy life, then go back online when you come back home!

We loved every moment at this beautiful resort. Idyllic setting, beautiful views, modern up-to-date facilities. Charming Barbara could not have been sweeter or more helpful. We had a meal, prepared by Barbara, and wine tasting (great Tollena wines--we tried them all!) -- an evening we will always remember. The location is perfect to explore the Tuscany towns and countryside. Would recommend highly, and we will return!

Splendida posizione vicinissimo a San Giminiano e ideale punto di partenza per visitare Siena e il Chianti. Molto curato nell'arredo interno ed esterni con una splendida piscina sapientemente illuminata la sera che dona una bellissima armosfera serale . È sicuramente un agriturismo in cui ritorneremo appena possibile anche per un veloce week end.

Bellissima struttura con camere molto ampie, pulite e dotate di ogni comfort. In posizione ottima e tranquilla, molto vicino a San Gimignano e con un bellissimo panorama che si può godere soprattutto dalla piscina. Ci sono anche giochi per bambini. Producono anche vini di ottima qualitá.

Che dire di questo magnifico e suggestivo luogo?? Un paradiso!! Ci si abbandona alla tranquillità più assoluta in un contesto naturale stupendo. La struttura è perfettamente curata,dalle camere al giardino alla piscina. Ritorneremo sicuramente!!!!

From the moment we arrived at Tollena we felt welcomed. Life is not perfect and there were a few snags but everything was looked after effeciantly. I would love to return one day. Barbara thank you for your hospitaliy

depuis 2008 , date de l'ouverture, nous venons passer au moins 2 semaines chaque été.||Nous avons testé 4 appartements et tous nous ont séduits , grand confort, superbes salles de bain, literie de grande qualité , en plus tollena vieillit bien . Parfaitement intégrée dans un des plus beaux sites de Toscane , la résidence est au calme ,avec une vue fabuleuse sur la campagne; nous hommes tombés amoureux de l'endroit et de la région. Notre hôtesse , Barbara est la gentillesse personnifiée, et il faut gouter aux vins produits sur place , ainsi qu'à l'huile d'olive ?||Si vous le pouvez , dégustez les plats toscans que prépare Eddie .||Tollena est une merveilleuse adresse dans un merveilleux endroit.

My husband and I went to Tuscany for our honeymoon for 10 days in June. We thought the hill town of San Gimignano was a perfect spot to stay for exploring Tuscany. It’s a medium-sized hill town (big enough for variety, but smaller than a city), and its centrally located enough to easily do day trips to places like Pisa, Florence, Siena, Montepulciano, Vada…||||Borgo Tollena’s reviews were by far the best for any Tuscan villa, so we decided to take a leap of faith and booked it. We stayed in Lunario. We were a bit nervous leading up to our trip…we wondered if the reviews and photos online were accurate representations of what we would see when we arrived. The minute we pulled off the main road toward the property, we knew we had made a great choice. The photos online do not do justice to this gorgeous property. ||||Borgo Tollena is set a ways back from the road, a few miles from town. It is incredibly peaceful, quiet, hardly any noise from traffic or tourists. The property is very well kept. The pool is clean, with gorgeous views. Barbara, the owner, is accessible and incredibly sweet and helpful. The apartments are very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and well-appointed. Each apartment has its own picnic table with umbrella and chairs. The villa is on a hill, and the views of its vineyards and the nearby properties are phenomenal, especially at sunset…perhaps some of the best we saw while in Italy. We enjoyed several relaxing breakfasts and dinners at our picnic table soaking up the breathtaking scenery. Absolutely amazing. We have already recommended Borgo Tollena to friends, and we hope to return ourselves for an anniversary some day!

This is already the 2nd time that we visit Borgo Tollena. Again we had a really relaxing holiday, with nice view, good food and friendly people. The kids are really missing the place already and are asking if we can book it for next year, to see Barbara, Hetty, the swimming pool and the good wine and the good food. ||We arrived very late at the apartment but had a warm welcome, because the fridge was filled with nice "Tollena" wine. That was really a nice surprise. Prachtige locatie met mooie uitzichten, ook vanuit het zwembad, met charmante en zeer vriendelijke begeleiding door gastvrouw Barbara. Tien minuten fietsen naar het mooie stadje San Gimignano. Een groter zwembad en een paar grote bomen voor meer schaduw zouden het 5 sterren maken.

We stayed at Borgo Tollena for 2 weeks in May 2012. It was beautiful, the view is stunning from every direction. We had 4 adults and 2 children (aged 3 and 1) and stayed in appartment La Stellata which had plenty of space. The accomodation is spotlessly clean. The outdoor setting was fabulous and we spent many evenings drinking red wine and eating prosciutto outside after the kids went to sleep. The pool area was lovely but too cold for swimming when we were there and not fenced which is always a worry with young children. There is also a swing set on the property which our children loved. The property is an easy 5 min drive from the town of San Gimignano. We had a very relaxing holiday and would highly recommend Borgo Tollena. Barbara, the owner, is lovely.

WIj zijn al bij vele agriturismo's geweest, met name regio Toscane.||Borgo Tollena heeft de afgelopen twee weken indruk gemaakt, de ligging is werkelijk waar geweldig. Ik ga het niet beschrijven, ga erheen:)||Centraal tussen Florence en Siena, beide 30 auto minuten, en 5 auto auto minuten van San Gimignano, ideaal voor dagtripjes.||De olie, de wijn, de geur en de aardige mensen van Borgo Tollena, maken het voor ons de topper tot zover!

Just returning from a vacation of a lifetime. If ten Stars were available, that is what I would give.||||As one of a group of seven, and a seven month old infant, from the USA, we could not have been happier. This was just what one would think a Villa in Tuscany should/could be. We arrived late in the eve and a most beautiful Italian women guided us to her property (thank you Barbara) to begin our dream of staying in the Italian Countryside. Perfect beyond belief. The accomodations were top notch, extremely clean and very comfortable. We were so lucky with the weather, we even enjoyed the gorgeous swimming pool. The views from my bedroom window were breathtaking, and a Special evening around the table to share in some delicious wine and food, prepared especially for us, was well worth the money. The wine flowed freely and we loved the homemade meal. I am hoping that someday I will be lucky enough to return to Borgo Tollena for a return performance.||||Thank You Barbara et. al.||Grateful,||M. Posto splendido, vorrei tornarci ad agosto.||L'agriturismo con gli appartamento più belli, funzionali e curati che abbia mai trovato, e ho esperienza di almeno una decina di strutture similari.||Accoglienza e disponibilità dello staff otiime.||Magnifico il rapporto qualità prezzo e quando fanno la cena per gli ospii ho mangiato benissimo ad un prezzo decisamente modico.||Tant complimenti e tantaissima voglia di ritornare

Abbiamo trascorso le vacanze pasquali presso il Borgo Tollena in compagnia di amici e abbiamo soggiornato nell'appartamento Altamante. L'appartamento era molto ben curato nei dettagli, spazioso e ben pulito, dotato di tutti i confort. Ogni camera da letto era dotata di un bagno personale. Cordiale e molto disponibile la proprietaria. All'arrivo abbiamo trovato tante indicazioni utili per visitare la zona. Ottima colazione con prodotti genuini. Ottimo punto di partenza per visitare Volterra, San Gimignano e Siena. Bellissimo anche Certaldo

Poco distante dal centro di San Gimigniano, si trova l'agriturismo immerso nella natura e circondato da uliveti e vigneti. Un'oasi di pace in cui potersi rilassare godendosi il meraviglioso paesaggio. Una struttura accogliente e raffinata dotata di ogni comfort con una pulizia dei vani di otttimo livello. Consigliato a tutti quelli che desiderano vivere una vacanza rillasante e indimenticabile.

Das Weinresort Borgo Tollena in San Gimignano ist wunderbar. Die Wohnungen sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr gut eingeteilt. Jedes Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Badezimmer. Wohnzimmer mit bequemen Sofas/TV. Küche gut ausgerüstet und mit viel Geschirr eingerichtet. Der Pool mit seinen Liegen und Loungemöbeln lädt zum baden und verweilen ein. Die Lage von Borgo Tollena ist wunderschön. Man hat eine Rundumsicht auf die ganze Toscana. Es ist ruhig, erholsam - man hat einen eigenen Sitzplatz zum verweilen und geniessen. Es besteht ausserdem die Möglichkeit, ein tolles Frühstücksbuffet dazuzubestellen. An einem Abend durften wir ein wunderbares Nachtessen mit Weinverköstigung des eigenen Weins geniessen. Es war super-fein! ||Die Besitzerfamilie ist sehr nett und die Dame, die die gute Fee im Resort ist, macht einen guten Job. Wir werden sicher wieder einmal dort in die Ferien gehen!!

Not worth the 5 stars. Service is terrible, everything you ask will cost money. Cleaning only once a week. Towels only once a week. Ok, location is perfect but the appartment is not even 3 stars. No watercooker, no toaster, few glasses. No, we won't be back.

We stayed there for 2 weeks with children. Liked it very much! We definately will come back. The rooms are nice, clean and fully equipped. The pool and the territory are clean. The personnel is very very friendly. The athmosphere is great. The only thing we missed - the playgroung for the kids with the sandbox. But anyway - everything was sooo great!

We stayed one week at the borgo with our litlle dog and enjoyed this week very much. The appartments were nice and very clean. The surroundings are beautifull. Walking to San G. is possible but takes about 25 minutes so a car is needed. We recommend the borgo to other travellers!

We stayed here for a wedding party. Very nice place, great location - very close to San Gimignano. Rooms are very nice, clean and quiet. Breakfast is ok but not special. Staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Immerso nelle verdi colline della Toscana, a pochi passi dalla squisita località di San Gimignano trovi l'azienda Agricola Tollena, dove i sui alloggi ben arredati, dotati di tutti i confort e sopratutto ben puliti ci hanno permesso di trascorrere un fine settimana veramente rilassante. Il relax ai bordi della piscina è assicurato. Ci si sveglia la mattina nel completo silenzio e con un panorama da togliere il fiato. E subito dopo arriva la colazione molto abbondante e con prodotti genuini e ottimi!!!

Poco lontano dal centro di San Gimignano, su un colle da cui si gode una vista incantevole, immerso tra vigneti ed ulivi si trova questo casale, molto accogliente, con ampia disponibilità di camere e soprattutto fondamentale per la mia esperienza appartamenti di grandi dimensioni.||noi eravamo in 7 ed è stato molto piacevole stare nello stesso appartamento: ogni camera era dotata di proprio bagno indipendente, c'era una cucina con zona pranzo e un piccolo soggiorno.||L'appartamento era dotati di tutti i comfort, dalla lavastoviglie a riscaldamenti indipendenti per ogni camera, tutte con finiture di pregio e particolare cura dei particolari.||Prezzi in questa stagione eccezionali, e come peraltro spesso in Toscana, squisita gentilezza e disponibilità della proprietà e del personale.||||A due passi da località stupende come, San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena e Firenze (raggiungibili in meno di un'ora): insomma una base ideale per qualche giorno di relax

Agriturismo di classe, pulito e ben curato sia negli arredi interni sia in giardino e nella zona piscina; collocato in una posizione stupenda e panoramica, a pochissimi minuti dal centro di San Gimignano e da tutti i servizi.||Appartamento, camera e bagno spaziosi, dotati di ogni comfort (microonde e lavastoviglie; vasca idromassaggio)||Costo contenuto rispetto all'offerta.||Colazione semplice, ma ottima. Prodotti dell'agriturismo, brioches fresche di panetteria.||Barbara, la proprietaria (come anche la signora che l'aiuta) disponibili, gioviali e cortesi. Celere nelle risposte e attenta anche in fase di prenotazione a tutte le nostre richieste; per cambio data, causa malattia, mantenuta valida la caparra.||Unico neo, materassi non comodissimi (come prevedibile soprattutto quello del divano letto) ma hanno fornito subito altro materasso e comunque dormito tutta notte senza troppi problemi.
