Unable to return a car rented from a different Europcar location, although we had paid the one way fee already

Great staff and cars, no issues.

Terrible terrible experience! Europecar show car availability in the site, and we receive an email confirming we had the car for us. 2 minutes before picking up the car, they sent us a mail saying there was no available!!!! Also when we arrive to the office they didnt offer an alternative/solution. Also we met a customer there that booked a car to be ready at 9 am, but the office opened at 10. Be aware they don’t respect googlemaps and site timetables. Its my second time I had problems with europecar, in the future I ll not choose them again.

Beware beware beware. This isn’t a proper europcar office and you cannot expect to treat it as such. They’re more of a broker between multiple car places. The Europcar rep on the phone wouldn’t give us our booked Europcar vehicle because we didn’t have an international licence, yet we could book another car for 150% more from another place with them. We declined and made other arrangements. Credit to the lovely lady who worked at the desk though as she did her best to help us out and was genuinely helpful. Definite brand damage for Europcar.

RENTED US AN ILLEGAL CAR!!! THEY WON'T HELP US!
It was missing a front plate. In the U S, 19 states do not require a front plate. I drive to Pennsylvania, Delaware all the time. I have family in Florida. These states do not require a front plate. Normal to me. Numerous calls were made to the office where we picked the vehiche up. (they are only open 9 to 12 and 4 to 7). They told us it wasn't possible that they gave us the vehicle without a front plate! That I shouldn't be calling them days later with this. Basically brushed us off and hung up!! Also made calls to the 800 #. (varies offices), Palermo,Catania airport offices etc.. No one was willing to help us. Passed on from one person to the next, we were hung up on a few times! Spent hours of our vacation trying to resolve this!! It wasn't a fun few days! I CAN GO ON WITH MUCH MORE! Then we receive a damage bill for almost $500. Which I had to investigate to find out it's for the missing plate. Numerous calls from the states, Emails . We had to pay it!! Add insult to injury. How should we feel?
