Simply refused entry, no explanation given by staff, simply said no very angrily. Very rude, borderline aggressive.

Unpleasant experience due to employees but wonderful library. Library: 5 stars Staff: 0.5 stars Most unfriendly staff in Florence. They refused access to non-italian speakers. After some help from a local we somehow managed to enter. The library is absolutely wonderful and breathtaking. Even though they dislike tourists and foreigners, they even had a printed brochure in the library in english(?). I would suggest them to provide further information (in english or at least in a written form) for tourists in form of a information sheet outside the library.
