Amazing! Any surface and every corner inside the Jesuits church is fully covered with decorations. A bit too much for me.
From 1564 various artists worked at its marbles, plasters and paintings for over 200 years.
Unluckily 1943 was the year when american bombs destroyed most of the church, so it has been reconstructed. Not all faithfully, the dome is bigger than the previous one.
P.S. Many private homes have, in view or hidden, parts of the original statues because the bombed remains were easily accessible to anybody.
