Upon checking in, we went to our room and the entire room smelled like a sewer. We went to the front desk and asked if we could be moved to another room. The hotel accommodated our request, unfortunately the next room was just as bad. We ultimately left the hotel and got a reservation somewhere else. They may have had a plumbing issue that has hopefully since been resolved.

This is an older hotel, but it's perfect location and cute rooftop terrance bumps this hotel to a 5 for me. They serve drinks at the rooftop terrance, but if you wanted to explore you at a 5 min walk from the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain and only a 10 minute walk to the Spanish steps. You also have heightened security since you are literally in front of parliament.

I stayed here last Christmas and had a wonderful time, right next to all of Rome's major tourist attractions. Warm friendly staff and a tasty buffet breakfast served on the rooftop. We will definitely come back.

This hotel was wonderful & all the people working there, Hector at the front desk was incredibly helpful. The location is perfect, so we could walk to anything in Rome. We loved it... and the breakfast Buffett was awesome.

Positive: Was very central, walkable to almost all tourist sites with plenty of restaurants / bars near by.. Negative: Air Con didn’t work in the room.. very basic room even tho it’s fairly expensive. Also it’s on parliament square which was closed off majority of the time I was there with lots of police with protesters each day..

Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstück war ausreichend, aber sehr einfallslos.
Dafür ist die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse ein Traum. Das Personal ist sehr höflich und zuvorkommend.

Soggiorno durato 3 notti ma basta e avanzano per farsi un'idea di quanto vecchio sia questo hotel. Posizione centralissima ok, va bene, ma a parte l'educazione di quasi tutto il personale, l'hotel lo sconsiglio vivamente. Il buongiorno ce lo ha riservato una signora alquanto maleducata (mi sembrava una responsabile) la quale dietro segnalazione di qualche piccola mancanza in camera ci ha risposto in modo molto arrogante. La camera..... date un'occhiata alle foto forse rendono di più. Comunque temperatura media in camera 27 gradi e oltre non regolabile dalla stanza, neppur spegnendo il ventil: continuava a uscire aria calda, neanche fosse un film dell'orrore. Serramenti dell'epoca di Giulio Cesare giusto per stare in tema. Insonorizzazione fra le camere non pervenuta. Capisco che molti di voi penseranno "eh si ma è un palazzo antico" e io rispondo che per essere un 4 stelle sicuramente vanno fatti degli aggiornamenti. Infine un cubo di legno appoggiato al muro nascondeva un piccolo segreto al limite della sicurezza: cavi elettrici scoperti??? Ma si può??? Andrebbe segnalato a chi di dovere questa situazione. Vergogna!||P.S: dimenticavo della colazione: andate a farla in un bar li vicino, sarà sicuramente più fornito e il personale più accogliente.

Abbiamo soggiornato dieci giorni per le vacanze di Natale in questo Hotel. È meraviglioso. Camera molto molto bella e spaziosa, pulizia eccezionale.|L' ambiente è elegante e raffinato ed il personale alla reception è molto gentile e preparato a dare informazioni di ogni genere. All'ultimo piano, dove si trova anche la sala colazione, c'è una terrazza panoramica da dove si può ammirare la bellezza di Roma. La posizione è al centro città e vicino si trovano le maggiori attrazioni storico artistiche della capitale.|Ci torneremo sicuramente al prossimo soggiorno a Roma

La camera era enorme e con ogni confort! La colazione giusta e al sesto piano vista piazza Montecitorio. Forse da rendere più accogliente l'ingresso magari con qualche luce di natale che non guasta mai! Per il resto scendere dalla camera e trovarsi di fronte al parlamento è veramente emozionante

Brilliant location and very secure as shared same Palazzo as parliament. Room was spacious with a gorgeous bathroom and very clean.All staff were very friendly and provided anything we requested. They helped us with travel documents, booked restaurants and taxis.Grear view from the rooftop bar Breakfast was fresh and had a good variety of choices.We highly recommend.

Great hotel close to all the main highlights of Rome. If you intend to walk this is for you. No need for hop-hop off bus - just walk to the sites. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. With Parliament House across the piazza security everywhere. This hotel was recommended by other frequent travellers and they were right.

J’ai connu cet hôtel qui était très bien par le passé mais malheureusement la restauration a était effectuée que très partiellement et j’ai eu la malchance de réserver une suite complètement dégradée.. en plus 2 soirs de suite je n’ai pas d’eau chaude. Des excuses de la réception mais aucun de la direction !! Pour tout dédommagement l’offre du mini bar (quelques bouteilles d’eau)

Hotel jest znakomicie usytuowany , ale to nie jest jego jedyny plus. Wielkim plusem jest serdeczna, zawsze uśmiechnięta i pomocna obsługa i wyjątkowa atmosfera tego miejsca, której nie znajdziecie w nowoczesnych, standardowych hotelach. Tu naprawdę można poczuć historię miasta. Wielka atrakcją jest równiez taras z przepiękną panoramą Rzymu ( i świetnym barem). Do wielu najważnieszych atrakcji Rzymu praktycznie można dojść stad na piechotę, przy okazji odnajdując nowe , mniej znane, ale nie mniej ciekawe miejsca. Warto też podkreslić pożywne , smaczne śniadania ( znacznie przekraczajace zakres klasycznego włoskiego czy też kontynentalnego śniadanie). Pokoje dostępne są w różnych standardach, i dlatego pomimo świetnej lokalizacji rozpiętość cenowa sprawia, że praktycznie jest dostępny dla każdego.

Room was comfortable. And had a great view of the parliment.
Breakfast was nice.
Wonderful terrace.
Very convenient location. Just a few minutes walk to the Pantheon, Trivi fountain, Colosseum and much more.
Staff was kind and accommodating.
You can ask them to book a driver from the airport for you. Great experience.
Because it is directly in front of the parliment building, there is 24 hour police presence, I felt very safe.

Este hotel tiene una terraza donde se sirve el desayuno que es bellísima!!! Su desayuno tiene de todo!!!!! Las habitaciones son enormes!!!! Además de noche podés ir y tiene un bar hermoso. Con vistas únicas. Fuimos en verano nos tomamos una cerveza bien fría con mi esposo de fondo teníamos la cúpula de San Pedro. Simplemente un recuerdo inolvidable.

Nice hotel but noisy if your room faces the courtyard between the birds and the military police talking. ||Rooms were clean and included shampoo, conditioner, etc. ||Nice rooftop restaurant, buffet style only. ||If returning to hotel at night expect you be stopped by the military police. Not a problem getting through but it can be intimidating.

Positif: L'emplacement au centre de Rome est idéal, mais cependant le fait d'être en face du Parlement génère tous les matins des manifestations de tous ordres qui nous empêchent de dormir. Idem pour les agents de sécurité et autres agents de police qui parlent toute la nuit devant l'hôtel et c'est très désagréable. En revanche, la terrasse au 7e étage est magnifique et donne sur les toits de Rome !. Négatif: Le petit déjeuner n'est pas du tout à la hauteur de cet établissement et c'est bien dommage..

Je vais être parfaitement transparent : j'ai eu un souci lors de mon arrivée. Du coup, par la suite, je n'ai pas fait preuve de la moindre indulgence. Ce qui n'est pas mon cas d'habitude.||||Le check in : assez rapide, j'étais le seul client à la réception. Venant pour un week end, j'avais qu'un sac à dos. J'ai dû attendre plus de 15 min pour qu'on m'accompagne enfin à ma chambre. Sincèrement, on m'aurait dit où elle était, ça m'aurait parfaitement convenu. Mais là, attendre 15 min pour rien, je n'ai vraiment pas apprécié.||||La chambre : la 375. Vaste Chambre ? Contrairement à ce que j'ai pu lire, dans cette chambre, on peut faire le tour du lit et c'est tout. Elle donne sur une petite ruelle, je me suis dit que c'était parfait. C'était sans compter sur le manque d'isolation : une fenêtre de 3m de haut qui laisse passer le froid et le bruit. Pour finir, une moquette tellement défraichie que j'hésitais à marcher pieds nus dessus, et des murs qui auraient bien eu besoin d'un coup de pinceau.||||Le petit déjeuner : il est pratique. Mais c'est tout. Aucun produit qui ne vienne pas d'un supermarché, rien de frais. Pour un 4 étoile, ce n'est pas le petit déjeuner que j'attendais.||||Le personnel : malgré ma mésaventure du premier jour, le personnel s'est montré dans son ensemble plutot attentif||||Bref, un hotel bien situé mais qui n'est clairement pas un 4 étoile

Ubicación privilegiada ! Cerca de todo. Hotel antiguo, pero con habitaciones cómodas y amplias, además de limpias. Tiene una hermosa terraza para desayunar, lo que se constituye en un verdadero lujo para comenzar en día viendo terrazas y techos romanos.
No se puede llegar hasta la puerta en auto, porque queda enfrente de la cámara de diputados, pero se caminan unos pocos metros.
Súper recomendable !!!

This is our second stay at the Colonna and it was equally wonderfull. The hotel rooms have been refurbished in the four years since we last came. The complimentary breakfast on the rooftop garden overlooking Rome is a delight. You are in easy walking distance from all the major attractions and a multitude of restaurants. The awe inspiring pantheon is a 5 minute walk for example. Highly recommended.

Positiv: Gemessen an reinen Touristenhotels an der Küste war das Frühstück lediglich "überschaubar" bzgl. der Angebotsbreite. Geschmacklich aber gut. Hervorragend ist die Lage des Hotels, auch für Senioren ist Pantheon oder Fontana die Trevi in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Ein Abend auf der Dachterrasse mit Blick auf Rom ist nahezu unbezahlbar! Wir kennen das Hotel von einem früheren Aufenthalt und werden es auch wieder wählen.. Negativ: Bella Italia, schon Goethe machte Abstriche, was Sauberkeit betrifft. Die Sauberkeit war ausreichend, wenn auch eine westdeutsche "bürgerliche Hausfrau" immer was auszusetzen hat. Im Badezimmer des Appartements, welche unsere Tochter mit Familie angemietet hatte, war etwas Schimmel in manchen Ecken, aber nur ganz wenig! Trotzdem würde sie das Hotel aber wieder wählen..

Really great location, easy walk to everything, though a little bit expensive for what it is. Breakfast is included but doesnt change from day to day, okay if you like scrambled egg or cheese and ham breadroll. Staff are friendly. Located in the centre of two barricaded plazas surrounded by government buildings with a strong police presence, very safe. Loads of restaurants nearby.

Положительный: Не смотря на то,что у меня была бронь без отмены бронирования или внесения изменений в бронь- персонал отеля пошёл мне на встречу и совершенно бесплатно перенёс мою бронь на другие даты.- это было очень приятно! персонал отеля приветливый,готовый помочь по любым вопросам. Кровать очень удобная. Отель подходит для спокойного,размеренного отдыха. Большенство постояльцев старшего возраста.. Негативный: Номер был на 6 Этаже,прям под «рестораном» и начиная с 5-6 утра было сильно слышно как наверху двигают Мебель, и видимо,занимаются подготовкой к завтраку..

This hotel was recommended to us by a Rome-based friend and we could not have been happier with it. Excellent, central, safe location with nice vibe, plenty of bars, restaurants and gelato shops a stroll away. 15 mins to Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona, a few minutes to Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. So easy to navigate and get around from there. Breakfast on rooftop was great, plenty of options. Our room was tasteful and roomy, with view over the square and parliament. Bathroom small but fine, wardrobe sizeable and separated from main room so felt like a dressing room. Easy to call cabs from here. Would definitely return.

We stayed 3 nights in October 2019. Staff were great, everyone spoke English. The room was an adequate size, very clean. Breakfast was okay. The rooftop bar was very nice, beautiful views. There is a very small unheated pool on the roof. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It was within walking distance of many attractions - the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, the Pantheon. And also lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. It was also an easy walk to the Hop On/Hop Off bus which goes to all the major attractions.

Sehr nettes Personal, schöne Dachterrasse, Frühstück ist lecker. Super zentral gelegen! Ein Nachteil: Unser Zimmer war an der kleinen Straße gelegen und es war extrem laut in allen Nächten. Zimmertausch wäre wohl möglich gewesen, nur hatten wir nur noch 2 Nächte vor uns.. irgendwie ging es.
