The Venician pistachio cake is one of the best cakes I've ever tried

Come pasticceria é veramente buona, si vede e si sente la qualità. Il caffè non è il massimo, conviene forse annaffiarlo in un cappuccino

NEDOPORUČUJI. Hrozný servis. Jiné ceny pro místní a jiné pro turisty. Za výlohou uvedena cena 1,80€/kus a 4,50€/3 kusy. Prodavačky jsem se zeptal na slevu, ale ta dělala, že o ničem neví. Dokonce i když jsem ji dovedl ven před výlohou, tak předstírala, jak je překvapená, ale nakonec prodala za cenu se slevou.

Experimentem o fritelle de creme

Excellent pistaccio marzipan cake with almonds and raisins. A piece is 6.5 euro but is worth the price. Real good ingredients and perfect texture and taste. The place feels like a local good bakery. Not a tourist trap but a real place. Will come back to check other pastries.

Buona pasticceria di Venezia dove ho gustato una buona frittella alla crema. Prezzo un po' alto ma siamo a Venezia zona trafficata quindi non si discute (€€).

Buoni prodotti, ho provato tutte le pasticcerie della strada Nova e in questa ci tornerei se non fosse per la colazione troppo cara!

I'm so sorry to read that the turist are not satisfaied about this place maybe they used to go at Starbucks where the bartender are forced to smile. The fact that we live in Venice dosen't mean that we HAVE to speak english, it dosen't mean that we have to be happy of the constant flux of turist especially when the majority the turist are rude, pretentious and disrespectful of the town and of his citizens. I agree with the owner, if you don't like to taste the real life of Venice (take a fast coffe at desk and cornetto or biscuit without false compliments) there are a lot of Mc Donald's, Starbuck and Bar in Venice where the only original thing is the wall of the local. If you want respect give respect! To say "Buongiorno" is not so complicated, to say "caffe e cornetto" is not impossible, trust me!

I am an American tourist. I love nothing more than going to a place not flooded with others like me, especially in a city like Venice that is invaded almost constantly. If you want an authentic, everyday, Venetian experience and don't want to get charged 6 euro for an espresso this is a great spot. The coffee is good and the pastries are just as impressive.

Not the most fresh things here

This is a typical Italian Caffe Bar, Italian speeking and service in Italian style. Means you just drink and eat while standing and changing a vew words with the locals " in Italian of course" Coffee is exquisite and the sweets delicious we go there every day when we are at Venezia. Perfect if you want to talk Italian and join the real Venetian live. Prices are low regarding the location and quality of the coffee and food.
Sadly tourists tell here it is not to recommend but only because they don't speak Italian and expect everyone to speak English. Gays you are here in their country and what better then experience their way of living?
So take your dictionary and try to order in Italian see its worth it :-) Little info: prices you see on the left side on the wall next to the door, there is no queue you just order when attention is given or go near the Desc and just order.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The attendant was extremely rude! Working in the service industry myself, I realize it’s not easy, but this woman was beyond anyone I have experienced in Italy. Stay away!

Fantastic pastine. Family run. Fresh and very tasty. The perfect souvenir for friends & family at home on your way to Ferrovia. I have no explantion for the bad reviews. This is a 5-star place. Friends back home loved the sweets. And they know Italian sweets - these are special. You taste the high quality of the ingredients.

Great place to grab a coffee and pastry in the morning. You will need to get involved with the locals on their daily commute. Once you realise there isn’t a queue it’s a handy find.

The attendant was very rude!
I've had an bad experience there. I'd asked the menu and the attendant has answered me that there wasn't menu there and after that, he has pointed at the other coffee shop and said: there is a menu at the Mc Donald's. After, I've seen the menu on the wall of the establishment. I wasn't expected this kind of behavior. So, I only drank a coffee ane ate one snack. I spent 5,20 euros.
I don't recommend it!

Very awful service and obvious discrimination to Asians. The “gentleman ” dressed guy showed two extremely different service attitude tous and the previous group of Italian speaking customers. He was very warm to them but showed no interest to us and did not even want to answer our question. None of his coworkers intended to help.......

Ho preso un caffè al volo, per questo scopo è ottimo ma a mio avviso dovrebbero assumere un aiutante perché sembra che la signora al banco non riesca a star dietro all'afflusso di gente che arriva!

Ottima pasticceria per intenditori, ho visto alcune recensioni sul prezzo delle pastine e vi posso assicurare che il lavoro del pasticcere vero quale è qui svolto non è mai pagato abbastanza . i 50 CENTESIMI in più li lascio più che volentieri per mangiare una pastina squisita e fresca, LA VENEZIA VERA CHE RESISTE, E' QUESTA QUI!!! Coffee just ok, pastries decent; however, service was extraordinarily rude. Tourists BEWARE, despite being polite & attempting reasonable Italian the young girl behind the counter was quite condescending & went out of our way to belittle us. Certainly not worth a visit!

ARNAQUE À TOURISTES ! APPEL AU BOYCOTT

Nous sommes arrivés dans cette petite pâtisserie alléchés par les gâteaux de la vitrine. Nous avons pris trois parts de gâteaux (3,50 euros les 100 grammes) qui semblaient succulents !

Au moment de payer la dame nous dit trenta trenta. Croyant à une erreur nous voulons lui donner treize euros, qu'elle ne fut pas notre surprise qu'en fait il s'agissait de trente euros ! Nous sommes donc repartis sans payer. Nous avons été dans une autre pâtisserie qui nous a confirmé qu'une part de gâteau comme le notre coûte environ 4 euros (une part équivaut donc à 100 grammes) et pas 10 euros la part !!

Je conseillerais donc de boycotter cette pâtisserie, pour tous les touristes qui se sont fait arnaqués (le double du prix) et n'ont pas forcément mis un avis négatif.

Really sweet guy behind the counter. Tasty pastries on a Sunday morning for not much money. Not much English spoken but they are friendly and patient with non-Italian speakers.

A apresentação é linda: uma vitrine com os doces expostos que realmente chamam a atenção. Lugar pequeno, intimista e um balcão com vários tipos de doces. Termina aí.
O atendimento é medonho, uma sra de má vontade e antipática, não responde ao que é perguntado ou responde sem muita vontade. Não sabe vender.
O gosto dos doces é inversamente proporcional a beleza deles. Sem gosto, massudos, sem graça.
Os valores são altos e não compensam pelo que é vendido. Não recomendo.

Don't understand the bad comments. I've been there and enjoyed very much of the good coffee and tasty cornetti. The stuff is friendly and in Italiano tutto giusto. I'll come again surely.

Avoid orrible staff

"Avoid!"..."Walk on by!"..."Turn your eyes!" These are things I want to say to anyone smart enough and fortunate enough to consult Google reviews prior to entering Pasticceria Pitteri...and things I only wish someone somehow had said to me.

9€ for seven small cookies. The story, though, only ends with that stinger.

On a Sunday afternoon stroll down Venice's Strada Nova my family and I decided to indulge our sweet tooth, and walked into Pasticceria Pitteri. We are big fans of bakery cookies (who isnt'?), and the wares on display looked just right. It took some doing, but eventually we managed to get one of the three attendants to break away from their conversation to sell us a few nibbles. Going through the motions with a look and attitude that was just short of a scowl, this person proceeded to (1) hurriedly and gracelessly throw the cookies we asked for into the bag, (2) sneak unasked-for cookies into our order, and (3) grossly overcharge us for her trouble. It all happened so fast -- once it started happening, that is -- that we barely noticed that we had been so victimized until we were back on the street and digging in.

Our entire experience was so plain...we were tourists without any command of Italian, unlikely to complain or ever return, and with no shame whatsoever we were treated as such. No doubt a common practice at Pasticceria Pitteri, and no doubt the place usually gets away with such...not this time (or, at least, not here).

I suppose the one star minimum that Google enforces to enable a post is earned by the fact that customers are not barred from entry, and that they can count on exiting with their limbs still attached. To reiterate..."Avoid!"..."Walk on by!"..."Turn your eyes!"

Terrible service and rude staff. Waited in line whilst they served all of the locals who came in after us. Walked out without making a purchase. Would not recommend.

A traditional Venetian Bakery that is loaded with delightful pastries and drinks ! We ordered marzipan (apricot), pistachio bread cookie, 4 pieces of nougat (limoncello, red fruits, traditional, pistachio). One should definitely stop here on the way to Ca'D'Oro :)
